Abstract: 589845 A respiratory mask (10) is disclosed comprising a frame (40) and a flexible structure (20) adapted to engage a patient's face. The flexible structure (20) including a chamber filled with a first gel (G1) and a second gel (G2) that is relatively harder than the first gel. The ratio of height of the first gel to the second gel is between 0.25 and 0.6 and the interface between the gel layers forms a hinge point to control buckling and/or bending of the mask in use.

Abstract: A respiratory mask (10) includes a flexible structure (20) adapted to engage a patient’s face. The flexible structure includes a chamber filled with a gel. The flexible structure is adapted to provide a very comfortable fit with the wearer, while providing a good seal and even distribution of forces. The flexible structure includes a relatively softer gel layer (G1) positioned closer to the patients face and a relatively harder gel layer (G2) further away from the patients face. The softer layer has a durometer indentation resistance less than can be measured on the OOO shore hardness scale.

Abstract: 613721 613721 Systems, devices and methods of use adapted for treatment of respiratory disease or sleep disordered breathing include a patient interface (10) adapted to be secured to and sealed against a portion of a patient’s face, in use. A flow generator is adapted to be connected to the patient interface and to be secured by a portion of the patient’s body. The flow generator includes a blower (not shown) adapted to provide pressurised breathable gas to a patient through the patient interface. The blower is adapted to be at least partially vibrationally isolated from the patient’s body by at least one dampening system (not shown) or device. The dampening device or system is adapted to reduce the amount of transmitted vibration received by the patient. A PAP system includes a patient interface including sealing arrangement (30) adapted to form a seal with the patient’s nose and/or mouth and headgear (40) to support the sealing arrangement in position on the patient’s head. A blower is structured to generate a supply of pressurized air. The blower is supported by the patient interface on the patient’s head and in communication with the patient interface. The headgear forms one or more ducts (42) to communicate pressurized air from the blower to a breathing cavity defined by the sealing arrangement.

Abstract: A cushion assembly for use with a respiratory mask includes a bladder filled with the combination of a gel (740) having a first indentation hardness and a gel (750) having a second indentation hardness. A seal forming structure is formed in one piece with the cushioning structure. The seal forming structure includes a thin membrane flap that is structured to provide a seal to the patient's face. The thin membrane flap includes a free end that is spaced from the cushioning structure in its substantially relaxed, unstressed state and is adapted to be responsive to a difference between mask pressure and ambient pressure to effect a seal with a face region of a patient.
