    Abstract: PURPOSE:To compare both waves quantitatively by dividing the lateral axis of data into sections having an equal interval, forming dots from the changing width of longitudinal axis in the section, and comparing the numbers of the agreed dots in the mutually corresponding sections of both waves. CONSTITUTION:The lateral axis of measured waveform data to be compared to each other is divided into sections at an equal interval (d). The changing width (i) of the waveform data contained in the section in the longitudinal direction of the longitudinal axis is converted into the number of the dots in response to the width for every section. Thus the waveform is converted into a dot pattern. The numbers of the dots whose heights agree in the dot line on the same lateral axis for the two waveforms to be compared are obtained. The numbers of the agreed dots on the entire waveform dot patterns or on the parts of the patterns are used, and the waveform data are mutually compared. Therefore, when the waveforms are equal, the number of the agreed dots is maximum. When both wavelength become different, the number of the agreed dots is decreased rapidly, and the difference in waveforms appears sensitively.

Measured data (a data information 6a and a data body 6b) and a data process result (6c) are stored together with process procedures and each process condition (a data process content 6d) as a file into a hard disk. The data process content 6d among the data is read out to a main memory. New measured data can be processed similarly according to the data process content 6d.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily detect beforehand if a sample is left mischievously or placed wrong, by displaying in a layout display a cell figure of a loading part set by a program with a different display attribute or the like from that of other loading parts. SOLUTION: A program-setting part 1 displays a 'setting of program' screen at a display 2. A program is set as an operator inputs through an input device 3 such as a mouse or the like. Many cell figures corresponding to loading parts are displayed at the display 2 in an arrangement matching a formation pattern of the loading parts. The actual loading parts can hence be imagined in combination with the cell figures. The cell figure of the loading part set in the program is displayed with a different display attribute from that of other loading parts. Therefore, a difference can be readily recognized through a simple comparison between the display of cell figures and the loading part where a sample is actually loaded. It becomes easy to detect if the sample is left behind, or the like.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To lower a noise level by providing two array type photodetectors on the exit surface of a spectrograph, detecting sample light and reference light with same wavelength at the same time and calculating absorbance, and canceling variation in the quantity of light of a light source sufficiently. CONSTITUTION:The sample light which passes through a sample cell 2 and the reference light which passes through a reference cell 3 are incident on a concave diffraction grating 12 which constitutes the spectrograph through a slit 14a. A sample-side photodiode array 16 as an array type photodetector is provided on the exit surface of the spectrograph including the grating 12 at the sample-side image formation position of the slit 14a. A reference-side photodiode array 18 as an array type detector is provided at the reference-side image formation position of the slit 14a. A signal processor 20 inputs the detection signals of the same wavelength parts of the arrays 16 and 18 at the same time to calculate the absorbance. Consequently, the noise level is lowered.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spontaneous combustion testing device wherein no powder-sample is jetted even when inactive gas flows in. SOLUTION: A sample 6 is placed an a sample holding device 4, inactive gas is discharged from a plug 7, the sample is kept at constant temperature with a heater 8, and then the inactive gas is replaced with air and measurement is initiated when the temperature becomes stable. The gas charged at measurement is discharged through, by way of the hole at the bottom surface of the sample holding device 4, the channel passing through the sample 6 part and also through discharge outlets 17 and 18. When, at the point the temperature begins to rise, the gas is abruptly changed to the inactive gas and the large amount of the gas flaws in, the sample manages to jet itself from a communication channel 5a only to blocked by a mesh cover 16. When the mesh cover 16 is clogged, the gas is mainly discharged from the ventilation openings 17 and 18.
