Abstract: PURPOSE:To quantitatively determine antigens or antibodies with good sensitivity by projecting light of respectively different wavelengths during the course of an antigen-antibody reaction and determining the difference or change of the absorbancy ratio at the respective points of the time. CONSTITUTION:Insoluble carriers of fine grain sizes consisting of polystyrene, polymethyl styrene, etc., water, and a fixing medium consisting of a dispersion medium such as salt water are mixed with the antibodies or antigens to be tested. The light of the different wavelength lambda1, lambda2 are projected to this mixture at least at >=2 points of the time during the course of the reaction of the antigen-antibody reaction generated at this time and the absorbancies A(lambda1), A(lambda2) are determined. The ratio A(lambda1)/A(lambda2) of these absorbancies is determined and the antigens or antibodies are determined in accordance with the difference or change of the absorbancy ratio at the above-mentioned respective points of the time.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make drift compensation of a photoelectric detector without bisecting irradiating light by storing the outputs from the photoelectric detector when no photometric cells exist in an optical path and when the cells exist therein via a moving mechanism and calculating absorbancy therefrom. CONSTITUTION:A turntable 2 to which plural photometric cells 1 are attached stops in the position where irradiating light 3 passes between the two photometric cells 1 and 1'. The output from a photomultiplier 4 which receives the irradiating light enters a control circuit 8 for voltage of a negative high voltage power source via an amplifier 5, a switch 6 and a holding circuit 7. The power source voltage is controlled by said circuit to maintain the specified output of the amplifier 5. The output V0 of the amplifier 5 is stored via an AD converter 9 into a computer 10. The switch 6 is opened by the command from the computer 10 to rotate the turntable 2 so that the cell 1 is moved into the optical path. The output of the amplifier 5 is stored via the converer 9 into the computer 10. Concn. is determined by using a calibration curve from -logVt/V0.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the effect on the following analysis due to the exhaustion of a reagent, by measuring the amount of the reagent in a specimen container and distributing a diluent to a reaction container short in the amount of the reagent. CONSTITUTION:A specimen is distributed to each of reaction cuvets 10 from a specimen cup at a specimen distributing position and a cuvet rotor 38 is rotated to feed each of the cuvets 10 to a reagent distributing position 9. The distribution of a reagent 41 is performed by inserting a reagent distribution nozzle 2 and a liquid level sensor 3 in a reagent container 7 to confirm that both of them area immersed in the reagent 41, by a computer 32 and subsequently sucking and collecting the reagent 41 by a reagent distribution pump 20 to move the reagent distribution nozzle to the position above each of the cuvets 10. When a liquid level is not detected by the liquid level sensor 3, a washing solution is distributed to the cuvet 10 form a washing solution sump 17 on the basis of the signal from the computer 32. By this method, it can be prevented that a precipitate is bonded to the inner wall of the cuvet 10 by the evaporation of moisture from the specimen at the time of the exhaustion of the reagent.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To remove errors due to turbid components without use of a number of blank channels or a reference liquid for turbidity, by a method wherein a sample containing suspension material is divided by every item, is mixed with a reaction liquid to measure absorbance and correction of a blank absorbance determined by a specified method is applied. CONSTITUTION:A sample containing suspension material is divided by every item and mixed with a reaction agent for item-wise measurement to make a measuring liquid. Absorbance with a specified wavelength of each measuring liquid is measured. On the other hand, the sample is mixed with a blank reaction reagent excluding reaction components from a reaction reagent to prepare a sample blank liquid. The absorbance of the blank liquid is measured at least about two kinds of wavelengths to obtain a wavelength-absorbance regression function. A blank absorbance at the measuring wavelength is calculated about respective items from the regression function to correct absorbance of each measuring liquid.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enhance a treatment speed, in the measurement of immune reaction according to a rate method using nephelometry, by estimating the max. value of a reaction speed without performing continuous photometry. CONSTITUTION:The curve showing the relation between the concn. of the antigen-antibody composite substance and reaction time in antigen-antibody reaction resembles to the curve at the central part of a cubic curve as shown by the drawing. A reaction reagent is successively added to a plurality of specimens to react an antigen and an antibody while the intensity of scattered light is measured in the addition order of the reagent and, when measurement was finished once, the intensity of scattered light is repeatedly measured from the first specimen in the same way and this measurement is performed at least three times with respect to each specimen to calculate the cubic expression, that is, constants (a), (b), (c) of formula I (wherein I is the intensity of scattered light and T is reaction elapse time) with respect to each specimen. These constants are substituted for formula II to calculate the max. reaction speed in the antigen/antibody between the specimen and the reagent.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an automatic chemical analysis device which maintains the initial processing power for analysis without decrease even if analysis of items with different reaction times is performed by providing an auxiliary line for reaction by-passing the main line for reaction to said line. CONSTITUTION:A main line 2 for reaction of an automatic chemical analysis device 1 is provided with a means 5 for supplying reaction tubes which supplies successively the reaction tubes of the number corresponding to the number of the analyzing items to be assigned preliminarily for each specimen, a means 6 for dispensing the specimen, a means 7 for dispensing a reagent and a means 8 for measurement. The means 7 consists of the 1st dispensing means 9, the 2nd dispensing means 10 and the 3rd dispensing means 11. The analysis for each analyzing item is automatically accomplished with each of the reaction tubes by the command from a control part 4. The device 1 is provided with auxiliary lines 3, 3', 3'' for reaction, by which the reaction tubes having longer reaction time can be by-passed from the line 2 and stagnated. The measurement in the optimum reaction time is thus made possible without decreasing processing capacity for each analysis even if the multiple items are analyzed simultaneously with different reaction times.

CONSTITUTION:The movement of a nozzle 4, the suckings and emissions of a dilution liquid pump 7 and a non-diluted liquid pump 8 and the change-over of an emitting and flowline change-over valve 16 are controlled by a central control part 20 and the liquid mixture of the non-diluted specimen of each non-diluted specimen container 10 of an analytical turntable 2 and the diluted specimen from the diluted liquid tank 6 is distributed in diluted specimen containers 11. In addition, the liquid mixture from the tubes 11 or the non-diluted specimen from each tube 10 is similarily distributed in each reaction tube 17 in which a reagent is distributed of a reaction tube turntable 3 to perform absorbance analysis. By this constitution, specimen distributing accuracy is enhanced and an apparent concn. due to a prozone phenomenon is corrected by the comparison with concn. accompanying the analysis of the reagent in the non-diluted specimen even if a reagent concn. is high and accurate analysis can be performed.
