Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the picture quality and resolution by providing a dither processing means on an input means for externally supplied video information. CONSTITUTION:A work station is provided with a video signal input part (dither processing means) 1 at the input stage for the external video signal and this video signal input part 1 performs dither processing for the external video signal. Namely, the external video signal based upon the NTSC system is supplied to an A/D converter 2 and a field decision circuit 3 in the video signal input part 1 through an input terminal 13. The A/D converter 2 digitizes the video signal and supplies the digitized signal as 8-bit video data of R, G, and B to a dither processing circuit 4. The field decision circuit 3 decides whether the video signal is in an odd numbered or even, numbered field and supplies data on that to the dither processing circuit 4. The dither processing circuit 4 switches dither patterns by the fields of the video information and performs the dither processing.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus, along with an information processing method and program, capable of providing a bingo game service, based on positions of two or more user terminals.SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus includes: a communication unit for performing communication with one or at least two user terminals; a first condition determination unit for determining that the first condition is satisfied, based on position information showing the position of an user terminal acquired from each user terminal and location information showing two or more places; a second condition determination unit for determining that the second condition being more strict condition than the first condition is satisfied, based on the location information and place information, when a determination is made that the first condition is satisfied; and a notification processing unit for notifying the result of the determination associated with the first condition and the result of the determination associated with the second condition to the user terminal.
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To exactly detect the amount of image data to be compressed and transferred during the term of one field. CONSTITUTION:A compressing arithmetic unit 5 compresses the image data supplied from a decoder 6 with one field as a processing unit. The compressed image data are DMA-transferred through a DMA controller 7 to the DMA area of a main memory 2. A counter 8 counts the number of write signals (transfer request signals) supplied from the compressing arithmetic unit 5 to the DMA controller 7, and its count value is held in a register 9 at the timing of outputting a compression processing end signal outputted from the compressing arithmetic unit 5 once a field. When interruption processing request is generated based on the compression processing end signal, after processing under executing at that time is finished, a central processing unit 1 detects the amount of data transferred from the DMA controller 7 to the main memory 2 for the period of one field by reading the count value held in the register 9.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To switch an apparatus being controlled by a controller positively to an apparatus desired by a user. SOLUTION: The controller 2 acquires the distance to an apparatus constituting a home network 1, and presents a user with information for switching the control object apparatus of the controller 2 depending on that distance. Furthermore, the controller 2 switches the control object apparatus depending on operational input by the user for the switching information. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit data by being converted into a bit rate corresponding to a network. SOLUTION: When a transmission request of contents is decided as received from a client in a step S1, the response of the transmission request is transmitted in a step S2, the quality (bit rate) of the designated contents is read from a database in a step S3, and the band of a network is ensured in a step S4. Whether or not the quality of the contents is larger than a prescribed available bandwidth is decided in a step S5, and when the quality is decided as larger, the dynamic conversion processing of the contents quality is carried out in a step S6 to convert the contents into transmissible quality in a corresponding network. In a step S7, the contents are transmitted to the client, and when the data transmission is decided as finished in a step S8, the band of the network is released and the processing is finished in a step S9.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly maintain the aspect ratio of a display screen and to increase the number of simultaneous displaying of plural still pictures by generating pictures in which only the percentage of lateral or longitudinal directions of plural picture information is compressed or expanded in accordance with the difference of output means, storing the pictures and outputting the pictures to one of the different output means. SOLUTION: It is ascertained whether the aspect ratio of a thumbnail picture is 1:1 or not. If it is No, it is ascertained whether the aspect ratio of the output device, which outputs pictures is 4:3. If it is NO, and it is ascertained whether the aspect ratio of the output device, which outputs pictures, is 16:9 or not. If it is YES, the aspect ratio in a memory 10 to be stored in a display memory 14 is compressed or expanded to 16:9 from 1:1 for the lateral and the longitudinal percentages of the display screen, a reconstitution, in which the number of display screen thumbnail pictures corresponding to 16:9 is increased, is executed and stored in the memory 14. A CPU 8 reads the still picture data of the memory 14 on a wide TV receiver 13c having a display screen in a picture output device 13 having an aspect ratio of 16:9 and displays the data.
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To accelerate transfer speed by providing a decision means which finds a pre-read signal and a read-jump signal, respectively after performing classification by the transfer direction of image data. CONSTITUTION:The pre-read signal PRD and the read-jump signal NRD are generated, respectively by classifying the case where the transfer direction of the image data is in a direction to increase an address and the case where it is in a direction to decrease the address. Image data transfer means 20, 21, 22, 23, and 24 read the image data of first two blocks before transfer from image memory 16 when the pre-read signal PRD is set, and form the image data of first one block after transfer from the image data of first two blocks. Also, when the read-jump signal NRD is set, the image data of final one block after transfer is written on the image memory 16 without performing the last read of the image data from the image memory 16.

PURPOSE:To attain high speed picture difference detection by providing at least two independent memory means storing moving picture signals in duplicate locally and a picture difference calculation means detecting respectively a difference of moving picture signals stored in the memory means to the detector. CONSTITUTION:A memory control means 2 stores split moving picture signals relating to each other including a partially duplicate region around a split border of a screen to relevant memory means 8, 12. Moving picture difference detection means 6, 10 are provided corresponding to the memory means 8, 12, operated independently and detect a difference of a moving pattern between a preceding frame pattern and a current frame pattern for each moving picture processing unit block with a prescribed size including the moving picture signal stored in the relevant memory means 8, 12. Thus, the moving vector detection and noise detection of the picture data are implemented in parallel to improve the processing speed.
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To synthesize a natural picture onto a computer graphics picture by forming a synthesis key signal from a video signal of a natural picture to select the condition of the key signal with respect to the chromaticity of the natural picture. CONSTITUTION:Computer graphics signals Rc-Bc with a prescribed frequency are extracted from a RAM 12. Natural picture video signals Rn-Bn are digitized and written sequentially in a frame buffer 24 and a readout signal is supplied from a control circuit 13 in parallel with the write and the signals Rn-Bn are read synchronously with the signals Rc-Bc. A detection circuit 25 detects a period of the signals Rn-Bn reaching a specific chromaticity, outputs a detection signal Sk whose level is logical 1, the detected chromaticity is designated by a signal Si from the CPU 11 and the detection signal Sk is fed to a switch circuit 14 as a control signal. Thus, a natural picture is beautifully synthesized with respect to the computer graphics picture.
