Abstract: A cassette eject mechanism for a recording or reproducing apparatus can remove a cassette eject button from a housing and can reliably eject a tape cassette only when a tape cassette should be loaded or unloaded. A battery loading mechanism for an electronic equipment can make the loading of battery simple and reliable, and becomes easy to handle. The locking mechanism can be simplified in structure so that the number of assembly parts can considerably be reduced. Further, a mechanical chassis supporting mechanism in a recording apparatus is for use with an apparatus in which a mechanical chassis or cabinet can be reduced in thickness. According to this mechanical chassis supporting mechanism, it is possible to prevent an external stress from being applied to the mechanical chassis as a twisting deform force.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an electronic apparatus as a minimum external form by a method wherein an externally mounted cabinet is directly fixed to a device so that an outer surface part of the device forms part of a show face. SOLUTION: An apparatus 21 is integrated with a floppy disc drive device 24 as a device as a drive mechanism part for record reproduction, and a mechanism body of the floppy disc drive device 24 is formed in an external form shape in response to externally mounted cabinets 22, 23. The externally mounted cabinets 22, 23 are directly fixed to the floppy disc drive device 24 so that an outer surface part of the floppy disc drive device 24 is exposed as part of a show face of the apparatus 21. Namely, step parts 24a, 24b are formed along an outer marginal part at a front face side and a rear face side of the floppy disc drive device 24, respectively, and end edge parts of the externally mounted cabinets 22, 23 are engaged with the step parts 24a, 24b, respectively, so that they are fixed by a screw clamp.

When a battery is inserted, the projections a, b of the arms 7, 8 are bent by resisting energizing force of the plate spring 16 or the wire spring, locking of the slider recess 3a and the projections b of the arms 7, 8 is unlocked, a slider 3 slides, and electrodes 13, 14 come in contact with polarities of the battery. Since a pair of arms 7, 8 independently operate, unless the battery is not normally mounted, locking of the slider 3 and the arms 7, 8 is not unlocked.

The ejection knob 26 is installed and connected, so as to be rotatable, to the tip part of a connecting member 25 which is interlocked with the loading mechanism. In addition, a torsion coiled spring 28 by which the ejection knob 26 is displaced in a direction crossed with the movement direction of the connecting member 25 when the floppy disk 4 is loaded and which closes at least a part of the disk insertion pot 23 by using the ejection knob 26 is installed.

The electrode part 46B is formed into a plate spring-like shape and acts to push out the respective batteries 30, 32 when they are ejected.
