Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give excellent ink absorptivity, ink fixing property, water resistance and bleeding resistance, and also enable clear image to be further retained with respect to an ink jet medium to be recording with a dye-fixing layer formed consisting of an interlayer and bonding agent for acceptably retaining water soluble dye through an intercalation reaction. SOLUTION: An ink jet medium to be recorded is formed on a base material 2 with a dye-fixing layer 1 consisting of an interlayer compound and bonding agent for acceptably retaining water soluble dye through an intercalation, wherein a quaternary ammonium modified polyvinyl alcohol resin is used as a bonding agent.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impart good ink absorbability, ink fixing properties, water resistance and blending resistance to a medium to be ink jet recorded which is provided with a dye fixing layer formed of an interlaminar compound acceptively retaining a water-soluble dye by the intercalation reaction and a binding agent and form and retain a sharper image. SOLUTION: A medium to be ink-jet recorded is composed of a dye fixing layer 1 formed of an interlaminar compound acceptively holding a water-soluble dye by the intercalation reaction and an binding agent and formed on a base 2. In that case, a polyvinyl alcohol resin modified by a carboxyl and an epoxy is used as the binding agent.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium to be ink jet recorded having good ink absorbency, scarce ink retransfer, good image presevability, fixability and water resistance in the medium formed with a dye adsorption layer containing an interlayer compound for receiving and holding water soluble dye by an intercalation reaction and a binder. SOLUTION: In the medium to be ink jet recorded comprising a dye adsorption layer 2 as a lower layer of the side near a base material on a base material 3 and a resin layer 1 as an upper layer of the side further from the material, the layer 2 contains an interlayer compound for receiving and holding a water soluble dye by an intercalation reaction and a binder, and the layer 1 contains a resin having lower water absorption rate than that of the binder of the layer 2.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer printing paper which keeps set-off suppressing properties and having good running properties. SOLUTION: A back coat layer 4 of a thermal transfer printing paper 1 contains a conductive inorg. filler with a particle size of 0.1-3μm. In a desired example mode, the material quality of a conductive inorg. filler is at least one of calcium carbonate, titanium oxide, tin oxide, zinc oxide, silicon oxide, zinc sulfide and barium sulfide to which conductive treatment is applied and the wt. ratio. of the conductive inorg. filler to the binder resin constituting the back coat layer 4 is set to 0.5-3 to provide thermal transfer printing paper keeping the strike-through suppressing properties of the back coat layer and having good running properties.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To form a back coat layer on a thermal transfer photographic paper not causing a failure of overlapped feeding, suppressing the offset of dyes, having a good water proofing property as well as a strong adhesiveness to the base material, in addition, with reduced likelihood of fusing with an ink ribbon even when an erroneous feeding is carried out into the printer so that print is conducted in a reversed condition of the photographic paper in its front and back surface. CONSTITUTION: The thermal transfer photographic paper 1 includes a dyes reservoir layer 3 on one surface of a sheet base material 2 and a back coat layer 4 on the other surface, wherein the back coat layer 4 is formed of a cross-linking reaction substance obtained by cross-linking polyvinyl acetal having an acetalization degree of 50% or more with a multi-functional isocyanate compound.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dye vaporizing type transferring recording set having merits such as faster absorption of ink, no bleeding developing in a print or the like. SOLUTION: This dye vaporizing type transferring recording set consisting of an ink, which includes a dye and a solvent and is vaporized or sublimated by heating, and a photographic paper, which confronts with the ink through an interval between them in order to be recorded for dye vaporizing type transferring. The photographic paper 100 is produced by forming an accepting layer 105 consisting of a cellulose ester-containing dye fixing layer 101. The ink distinctively contains a glycol ester as a solvent. The preferable cellulose ester is a cellulose acetate butylate. The preferable accepting layer contains a particulate inorganic compound, the average particle diameter of which is below 1 μm. The preferable solvent has a boiling point of 175 deg.C or higher.
