Abstract: A discriminator for a plurality of sound intermediate frequencies which are different from each other includes a plurality of selectively operable resonance circuits each of which is formed of a winding of a respective fixed inductance value and a capacitor of a fixed capacitance value, and any deviation of the tuned frequency of a selected resonance circuit is corrected by a variable reactance element which is common to all of the resonance circuits, to thereby remove the necessity of individual adjustments, simplify the circuit configuration, and decrease the cost thereof.

Abstract: An intercarrier sound detecting apparatus for a television receiver includes an antenna for receiving a television signal; a tuner for selecting a desired frequency range of the received television signal from the antenna and producing a tuned signal having a video intermediate frequency component in response thereto; a filter for extracing the video intermediate frequency component from the tuned signal; video intermediate frequency amplifiers for producing a video intermediate frequency signal having an amplitude-modulated video carrier component; in response to the extracted video intermediate frequency component; a phase-locked loop which phase-locks the video intermediate frequency signal with respect to the amplitude-modulated video carrier component thereof and produces an output signal having a 4.5 MHz beat signal component in response thereto; a band pass filter for transmitting substantially only the 4.5 MHz beat signal component; and a frequency discriminator for producing a sound signal in response to the 4.5 MHz heat signal component transmitted through the band pass filter.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent a noise component from being wrongly detected as the movement of a picture by a movement detecting circuit, by controlling the gain of a gain controlling amplifier by means of the movement detecting signal of video signals and input field intensity detecting signals. CONSTITUTION:Means 4-6 which detect the 1-field or 1-frame difference signals of video signals and a means 3 which subtracts signals obtained by passing the 1-field or 1-frame signals through a gain controlling amplifier (multiplier) 8 from the video signals are provided and the gain of the amplifier 8 is controlled by using signals SM detecting the movement of the video signals and signals SC detecting the intensity of an inputted electric field. Since the coefficient K of the multiplier 8 is controlled in accordance with both of the movement detecting signals and the intensity of the inputted electric field in such way, the coefficient K can be prevented from being wrongly detected as small one when noise components are abundant at the time of middle-weak input electric field.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To have no adjustment, to simplify a circuit constitution, and to lower a cost by constituting plural resonance means disposed in a sound intermediate frequency detecting means of a coil and a capacitor and commonly correcting the deflection of the synchronizing frequency of the resonance means in which these values are fixed and selected by one variable reactance element. CONSTITUTION:One of the plural resonance circuits 9a-9d constituted of the coil and the capacitor having respectively fixed inductance value and capacitance value which are disposed in the detecting means 2 for detecting the plural sound intermediate frequency signals having mutually different frequencies is selected by any of switching means Q1-Q4. Then, the deflection of the synchronizing frequency of the resonance circuits is adjusted by the variable reactance element Vc. Namely, when one of the plural switching elements Q1-Q4 is operated, the resonance circuit constituted of one of the coils L1-L4 connected thereto and the common capacitor Co operates to synchronize with one of the sound intermediate frequency signals having the mutually different frequencies. At this time, the deflection in the synchronization of the sound detecting output is finely adjusted by the variable reactance element Vc.
