Abstract: PURPOSE:To decrease the transmission cost by using a still picture for picture information transmitting and receiving between two conference rooms and controlling the switching of a transmission picture with a voice signal. CONSTITUTION:Before a conference is held, the portrates of participants are image picked up by a TV camera 17 (27) and transmitted to a still file device 15 (25) by using a still picture transmitter 18 (28) while a code number is added to them. The participants utter by using own microphones 11a, 11b... (21a, 21b...), the utterance is transmited to a conference room P (Q) by a voice transmitter 12 (22) and sounded. Then the code number identifying the speaker is transmitted from a display screen switching signal transmitter 13 (23) to the conference room P (Q) together with the voice signal, accesses the still portrate of the speaker recorded in the device 15 (25) to reproduce.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a protective operation by difinitely detecting danger of the electrode overheating of the last period of the service life of a fluorescent tube from the electric fluctuation of fluorescent tubes without responding to normal variable controls of the tube voltages of the tubes. SOLUTION: This back light driving device is provided with driving circuit means 3a, 4a, (3b, 4b) lighting plural fluorescent tubes 1a, (1b) illuminating a liquid crystal panel from a back part, tube voltage detecting means 5a, 5b detecting tube voltages of the tubes 1a, (1b) and a tube voltage comparator means 6 calculating the difference between respective tube voltages detected by the tube voltage detecting means 5a, (5b) and discriminating whether the calculated difference between the voltages falls in a stipulated range or not. Then, when the tube voltage comparator mean 6 discriminates that the difference between tube voltages has exceeded the stipulated range, the driving circuit means 3a, 4a, 3b, 3b stop the driving of the respective fluorescent tubes by judging that a filament abnormality is brought about because the service life of either of fluorescent tubes has run out.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a back light device for use in a liquid crystal panel from deterioration in the the performance caused by the heat generated from a fluorescent tube. SOLUTION: A back light device 1 is composed of a fluorescent tube 2, reflecting plate 3 to reflect the light from the tube 2, a diffusion plate 4 to diffuse the light from the tube 2 and plate 3, a drive circuit board 5 for the fluorescent tube 2, and a chassis 6 on which the mentioned members 2 thru 5 are mounted. The reflecting plate 3 is formed from aluminum which is excellent in the heat transmitting property. By the plate 3, the inside of the chassis 6 is partitioned into a first chamber and a second chamber. The first chamber is embodied in a tight closed structure, and inside it, the fluorescent tube 2 is installed. The second chamber is furnished with vents 9..., and the external air introduced from these vents is allowed to run against one side surface of the plate 3 so as to be cooled.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To improve the starting characteristic at a low temperature, and to reduce the unevenness of brightness inside of a fluorescent lamp by providing a feedback signal transmitting part for transmitting a change of the high output voltage, which is to be output to an inverter unit, to a feedback unit in the electrically insulated condition. CONSTITUTION: A P.W.M control unit 31 of a power source control unit 24 gives the signal SR for P.W.M control to a base terminal of a transistor TRQ1 so as to perform the PWM control of the transistor TRQ1. Output voltage of this TRQ1 is displayed in a part A, and the output voltage H having the square wave, which is turned on/off, is output to a collector terminal of the TRQ1. At this stage, the output voltage H can be controlled by controlling the ratio of ON/OFF duty of the output voltage H in response to the voltage given from a sense line 55 of a feedback unit 30 to the control unit 31. At this stage, the ratio of ON/OFF duty of the output voltage is changed by adjusting the variable resistance of a modulating unit 28, and the tube voltage is adjusted so as to dim the light of a fluorescent lamp 21.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To control the dead time until a capacitor is charged at the starting time, to control the output voltage of the capacitor less than a specific high voltage, to prevent a rare short of a transformer and to avoid to make the circuit in a large size. CONSTITUTION: A power source controller 24 controls the input power source voltage Vin and outputs it to an inverter 26. The inverter 26 receives the output voltage, converts it and gives a high voltage output voltage to a fluorescent tube 21. A feedback member 20 has a capacitor C3 to peak rectify the voltage of the fluorescent tube 21 and makes a feedback of the lighting condition of the fluorescent tube 21 to the power source controller 24. The dead time controller 60 of a PWM controller 31 controls the dead time for the period until the capacitor C3 is charged at the starting time, so as to control the output voltage of the capacitor C3 at the starting less than a specific high voltage value. Consequently, the output voltage of the capacitor C3 is not increased abnormally in the dead time, and a rare short of the transformer T1 of the inverter 26 is prevented.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To efficiently improve the unevenness of luminance at low cost by arranging a light source so that set height on a high voltage side and set height on low voltage side with reference to a reflection part may differ. CONSTITUTION:A fluorescent tube is arranged between reflectors 12a and 12b. Then, a low voltage side electrode 17 is placed on a boss 40 on a reflector 12c. The boss 40 is provided so as to be raised from the reflector 12c on the bottom part of a case 11, for example. Thus, the set (installation) height H2 of the electrode 17 with reference to the reflection surface 12C is set higher than the set (installation) height H1 of a high voltage side electrode 16 with reference to the surface 12c. Namely, the luminance is adjusted by making a part 16a corresponding to the electrode 16 being a light part lower than a part 17a corresponding to the electrode 17 being a dark part with respect to a diffusing plate 14.

The device 17 sends a still picture signal SVP of one field or one frame to a receiving device 34 and at the same time, to the speaker displaying signal forming device 19. The device 19 produces a peaker displaying signal SDP based on the signals SE and SVP and sends the signal SDP to the receiving device 34. The device 19 also produces a monitor signal SG and gives signal SG to a display device.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate the feeling of dissidence of conversation due to the dissidence of a picture and voice by controlling a system that a voice delay circuit is inserted at the transmission of a portrate in transmitting a television picture on a satellite line and a voice signal on a ground line. CONSTITUTION:For example, a TV camera 11a photographs the entire scene of a conference room and a TV camera 11b photographs the portrates of the conference participants. When the camera 11b is selected by an image pickup picture designating signal I and a closeup image of a speaker is transmitted, the system is controlled that the voice delay circuit of a voice signal transmitter 15 is operated by the output signal of an image pickup pattern controller 17. Since the circuit is controlled that the amount of delay of the voice delay circuit is identical to the delay time of the satellite line, the movement of the mouth of the speaker and the voice are coincident at the conference room at the reception side thereby giving no feeling of disorder.

The fluorescent tube 2, reflector 3, light diffusing plate 4, and shield sheet 6 are assembled on one-side face of the frame 7. The shield sheet 6 is made of a copper foil or the like, and the inverter circuit board 5 is assembled on the shield sheet 6 via an insulating sheet 11.
