An authentication system using two storage media and having a high security and convenience. An automatic log-in system (100) performs a user authentication request by using card unique information (101) stored on an IC card (10) and password information (102) stored in a mobile memory (11), thereby performing automatic log-in. By using the card unique information (101) and the password information (102), a server (110) acquires a user ID and a password and performs user authentication. In this case, the card unique information (101) and the password information (102) constitute authentication request information while the user ID and the password constitute authentication information. When the user authentication is successful, the server (110) performs log-in processing of the user. When the authentication is unsuccessful, no log-in processing is performed.

Provided are a light source circuit unit that improves light extraction efficiency, as well as an illuminator and a display that include such a light source circuit unit. The light source circuit unit includes: a circuit substrate having a wiring pattern on a surface thereof, the wiring pattern having light reflectivity, a circular pedestal provided on the circuit substrate, a water-repelling region provided at least from a peripheral edge portion of the pedestal to a part of a side face of the pedestal, and one or two or more light-emitting device chips mounted on the pedestal, and driven by a current that flows through the wiring pattern.

É descrito um dispositivo de iluminação incluindo: um elemento de suporte acomodando no mesmo uma placa de guia de luz e tendo um espaço de colocação da placa em uma região onde fica ao longo de uma direção longitudinal de uma superficie de extremidade da placa de guia de luz, e estendendo-se do lado da superficie de extremidade da placa de guia de luz até um lado da sua superficie traseira; e uma unidade de circuito de fonte de luz incluindo uma placa de circuito dobrável incluindo primeira e segunda regiões, a primeira região incluindo chips emissores de luz, e a segunda região sendo formada com uma porção densamente empacotada de um padrão de fiação dos chips emissores de luz. The invention provides a display apparatus which employs a display panel to display an image and has a large screen with a light weight and a sufficient structural strength and besides allows easy replacement of a light source of a lighting apparatus. The display apparatus includes a display panel, a circuit board, a light source unit and an optical panel all mounted on a rectangular frame formed from a combination of extruded members such as polygonal steel tubes. The frame serves also as an armor for the lighting apparatus, and this decreases the weight of the display apparatus. A light source of the light source unit can be replaced by taking out only the light source unit from the display apparatus.

A plurality of successive evacuating carts for carrying respective cathode-ray tube bulbs thereon are circulatingly fed along a looped feed path into and out of an evacuating furnace. While in the evacuating furnace, the cathode-ray tube bulb carried on each of the evacuating carts is evacuated, and the evacuating pipe thereof is sealed. An evacuating pipe detecting device is disposed at a position along the feed path for detecting whether the evacuating pipe of the cathode-ray tube bulb carried on each of the evacuating units is damaged or not. If the evacuating pipe of any cathode-ray tube bulb is detected as being damaged and remains on the evacuating cart, the evacuating cart is discharged out of the feed path, and a replacement evacuating cart is charged into the feed path.

Disclosed is a flat display allowed to facilitate a maintenance work for a back light unit contained in the flat display. The flat display includes a frame, display unit, back light unit, and chassis. The frame is positioned on the front side and has a window portion. The display unit, which is of a transmission type and is formed in a flat shape, is assembled from the rear side to the frame in such a manner as to be matched with the window portion to form an image screen. The chassis is positioned on the rear side and is engaged with the frame while putting the display unit therebetween to form a flat containing space on the back surface side of the display unit. The back light unit 3 is a surface light source which is pre-assembled using a flat case, and is removably insertable in the containing space. The back light unit functions to illuminate the transmission type display unit from the back surface side.

An automatic log-in system (100) requests a server (110) to perform a user authentication process using card-specific information (101) retrieved from an IC card (10) and password information (102) from a portable memory (11). The server (110) authenticates the user by acquiring a user ID and a password using the card-specific information (101) and password information (102). The card-specific information (101) and password information (102) constitute authentication request information, and the user ID and password make up authentication information. Following successful authentication of the user, the server (110) allows the user to log in; in case of unsuccessful authentication, the server (110) denies log-in.
