Abstract: The method involves defining a maximum number of passwords (PW1-PW3), and providing a password storage zone (PZ). A sharable memory space (UMEM) of a memory (MEM2) is divided into a set of blocks (B0-Bn), and parameterization fields (PD0-PDn) for the protection of the blocks is provided in each block. A bitmap index (IDX) is provided in each field, and same password is assigned for the protection of the blocks. Access rights requiring the presentation of the password corresponding to the assigned password is allocated to each block. An independent claim is also included for an integrated circuit comprising a memory.
