Abstract:
The present invention relates to a 1,3-bis-(N-lactamyl)propane of general formula (I), wherein radicals R1, R2, R3, R4, R5 and R6 independently stand for hydrogen, alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl or aralkyl and at least one of said radicals does not stand for hydrogen, (NLac) and (NLac′) are the same or different and stand for N-lactamyl radicals. The invention also relates to the use of said substances as a solvent in pharmaceutical and cosmetic agents. Disclosed are novel compounds of formula (I), wherein R1 and methyl and R2-R6 stand for hydrogen.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to topical products intended for use as prophylactic or curative agents for bacterial skin infections, containing at least one polymeric complex substantially consisting of hydrogen peroxide, a suitable polymer for the complex formation thereof, possibly another bactericidal compound and possibly a metal salt or a metal colloid.
Abstract:
Pyrrolidonyl-containing polyesters and polyamides I to III ##STR1## where R, X, A and Z are defined herein, are suitable as film formers and conditioners in hair-cosmetic formulations, for stabilizing hydrogen-peroxide in aqueous solution, for complexing iodine, as tablet binders and as a constituent of film coatings in pharmaceutical preparations, for enzyme and bleach stabilization in detergent formulations, as an auxiliary in the production and finishing of textiles, as a solubilizer and protective colloid in the preparation and stabilization of polymer dispersions, and as an adhesive raw material.
Abstract:
Direct tabletting aids A) 75-98% by weight of a powdered cellulose suitable for tabletting B) 1-15% by weight of soluble polyvinylpyrrolidone C) 0.5-10% by weight of crosslinked insoluble polyvinylpyrrolidone.
Abstract:
Direct tableting auxiliaries essentially consists of(A) from 88 to 96% by weight of pulverulent carrier conventionally used for the preparation of tablets and consisting of lactose, or lactose together with not more than the same amount of another carrier,(B) from 2 to 6% by weight of polyvinylpyrrolidone having a K value of from 20 to 40, and(C) from 2 to 10% by weight of crosslinked, insoluble polyvinylpyrrolidone, all percentages being based on the direct tableting auxiliary, and are obtained by spray drying, spray granulation or wet granulation. The novel direct tableting auxiliaries exhibit good flow and good compressibility under low pressure, and the tablets produced using the said auxiliaries possess excellent disintegration properties coupled with great hardness and low abrasion.
Abstract:
A process for treating cooling lubricants to prevent attack by microorganisms using crospovidone-iodine as biocidal substance, wherein the cooling lubricant to be treated is brought into contact with a filter cake which consists essentially of particulate crospovidone-iodine as filter medium.
Abstract:
Shaped articles which are suitable as biocidal depth-type filters and consist of fibrous materials and particles, embedded therein, of crosslinked crospovidone-iodine or crospovidone-hydrogen peroxide.
Abstract:
A process brings out a high contrast in natural grain of a naturally pale wood via infrared irradiation having a wavelength which is as long as possible. This infrared radiation can come from a conventional infrared emitter or, more preferably, from a carbon dioxide laser. Due to the contact-free heating near the surface which is effective in a stagnant ambient atmosphere, the new wood part of the grain is browned, while the harder old wood part remains essentially unbrowned. This causes the natural grain of the wood to stand out in contrast. Due to the contact-free and turbulence-free mode of operation of the heating, the grain pattern produced is uniform. Any scratches or chatter marks in the wood are simply covered over and remain invisible.
Abstract:
Process for the preparation of solid pharmaceutical forms by mixing one or more pharmaceutical active compounds with one or more fusible, pharmacologically tolerated binders and, if required, other conventional pharmaceutical auxiliaries, at from 50.degree. to 180.degree. C., and subjecting the mixture to injection molding or extrusion and shaping, wherein the fusible binder used is a NVP polymer which contains not less than 20% by weight of NVP as copolymerized units, and, where they are present, all of whose comonomers contain nitrogen and/or oxygen.
