    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the titled soft magnetic thin film having a high permeability, an excellent corrosion-resisting property, an excellent abrasion-resisting property of high degree of hardness, and thermal stability without lowering the density of saturated magnetic flux and also without increasing coercive force by a method wherein nitrogen N is added to the magnetic thin film having Fe, Co, Si and Al as the main components, and the composition of the component of the magnetic thin film is specified. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic thin film is composed of Fe, Co, Si and Al as the main component, the magnetic thin film is composed of Co of 0.5-15atom%, Si of 9-17atom%, Al of 7-15atom%, N of 0.01-10atom% and the remainder of Fe, and excellent serviceability is given to the magnetic thin film. If the content of nitrogen N is 0.01atom% or less, it is considered insufficient, and if said content exceeds 10atom%, the permeability of the magnetic thin film is decreased on the contrary, and magnetic coercive force Hc is made larger. It is desirable that the magnetically soft thin film is manufactured by performing a vapor deposition method, an ion-implanting method and the like. Also, pertaining to the introducing method of nitrogen N into the magnetic thin film, there are the method in which vapor deposition and the like is performed in the atmosphere containing nitrogen gas and the nitrogen N introducing method using the compound consisting of nitrogen N and at least a kind of element selected from the above-mentioned material and the alloy of the remaining component as the source of evaporation.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make the saturated magnetic flux density of the titled thin film higher than that of a Sendust alloy without changing its soft magnetic characteristics and the like by a method wherein Fe, Co, Al and Ge are selected as the constituent elements of the soft magnetic thin film, and the compositional ratio of the above-mentioned elements is set within the prescribed range. CONSTITUTION:In order to increase the density of saturated magnetic flux, the composition of the titled soft magnetic thin film is set as FexCoyAlaGeb (the compositional ratio of x, y, a and b is indicated by atomic %) taking into consideration of the fact that the point of intersection of the line of magnetostriction lambdas=0 with the line of crystal magnetic anisotropy K=O is to be set closer to the side of an Fe high density, and that the rate of reduction of magnetic moment in absolute zero and the addition of Co improve not only the density of saturated magnetic flux but also corrosion-resistance and abrasion resistance. In the above-mentioned constitution, when the adding quantity of Co is too much, the density of saturated magnetic flux and the soft magnetic characteristics are deteriorated in inverse proportion to the corrosion-resistance and the abrasion resistance.     Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable the thin film whose composition is expressed by FeaGabGec and which has the soft magnetic characteristic of the same degree as Sendust alloy and the remarkably high saturated magnetic flux density by specifying a range of the above composition. CONSTITUTION:The composition is expressed by FeaGabGec (wherein a.b. and c show the composition rate by atm%) and a range of this composition is the range of formula. For example, Fe, Ga and Ge are weighed so as to meet the predetermined composition rate and these are fused and cast by use of a high-frequency induction heating furnace. After that, by mechanical process, these are made into the alloy target for sputtering of 4 inches diameter and 4mm thickness. Sputtering is done by using this alloy target and a high-frequency magnetron sputtering device so that a thin film on a crystallized glass substrate is obtained. Furthermore, this thin film is annealed to be cooled gradually and a soft magnetic thin film is obtained. This can meet the enhancement of the coersive force of a magnetic recording medium sufficiently and it becomes possible to contrive the high quality and high recording density.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a specially suitable amorphous magnetic alloy as a core material of a magnetic head used as a magnetic recording and reproducing for a magnetic recording medium having high coercive force such as a metallic tape, by dispersing and mixing a fine granule of metal carbide selected among TaC, WC, NbC, MoC, VC and Cr3C2. CONSTITUTION:An amorphous magnetic alloy is composed by dispersing and mixing fine granules of a metal carbide selected among TaC, WC, NbC, MoC, VC and Cr3C2 into a base alloy in the ratio of 0.1-10vol%. An average grain size of the fine granule of said metal carbide is in a range of, for example, 0.1- 10.0mu preferably 0.5-1.0mu. In order to prevent the metal carbide from dissolving in the base alloy, the metal element of fine granules of said carbides is desirably dissolved as a component of the base alloy into said base alloy. Namely, when a composition of the base alloy for dispersing, for example, the fine TaC granule is supposed to be an Fe-Co-Ta-B series and said TaC granule is mixed into the base alloy, the TaC granule is hardly dissolved in the base alloy and its magnetic characteristic is deviated not so much from an expected value.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To perfom invariable accurate sizing by coupling each core material with coupling parts at recessed parts made in each core material when punching a ferromagnetic metallic sheet to obtain plural core materials. CONSTITUTION:Recessed parts 11 are formed in the external surfaces 14 and 15 of extension parts 13 extending sideward from both sides of the main body part 12 of a core material 8 and at those recessed part 11, the core material 8 is coupled with coupling parts 10. Each coupling part 10 is made nearly trapezoid in such a way that the part is thick on the side of a supporting part 9 and becomes thinner gradually toward the core material 8. consequently, even if part of the coupling part 10 remains as a burr at the core material when the core material 8 is disconnected from the coupling part 10, the flash is inside of the recessed part 11 and never protrudes from the external surfaces 14 and 15 of the core material 8. Therefore, invariably accurate sizing is performed on the basis of those external surfaces 14 and 15.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To substantially obviate the generation of a fluctuation in the compsn. of an Fe-Ni alloy and to uniformize the characteristics of the alloy compsn. by separating a plating liquid on the cathode side and a plating liquid on the anode side by an ion exchange membrane at the time of executing electroplating. CONSTITUTION:A plating chamber is constituted of a cathode chamber 1 and an anode chamber 3. The flanks on one side of both chambers are joined to each other and the plating liquid 2 is stored in the cathode chamber 1. A cathode supporting body 5 is disposed on the surface side opposite to the joint surfaces of both chambers 1, 3. This supporting body 5 is provided with a substrate 6 as a cathode. The plating liquid 4 is stored in the one anode chamber 3 as well and an anode 7 is disposed on the surface side opposite to the joint surfaces of both chambers 3, 1. The substrate 6 and the anode 7 are respectively connected to a power source 8 and a voltage is impressed between both. The voltage is impressed between the substrate 6 and the anode 7 and the Fe-Ni alloy thin film to be included in the plating liquid 2 is reduction- deposited on the substrate 6 by impressing the voltage between the substrate 6 and the anode 7 at the time of executing formation of the Fe-Ni alloy thin film constituting a magnetic core. The variation in the compsn. of the Fe-Ni alloy is suppressed and the characteristics of the head are uniformized.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain good recording and reproducing characteristics even in a high-frequency region by constituting the thin-film magnetic head of an upper layer core and lower layer core consisting of 'Permalloy(R)' alloy films and laminated films of soft magnetic films having the high saturation magnetic flux density specified in film thickness and saturation magnetic flux density. CONSTITUTION:The upper layer core 5 and lower layer core 2 are formed of the 'Permalloy(R)' alloy films 6, 10 and the laminated soft magnetic films 11 having =1T saturation magnetic flux density in order to obtain the high saturation magnetic flux density. In addition, the soft magnetic films 11 are positioned to a gap side. More specifically, a ferromagnetic material, such as potassium titanate, is used for a substrate 1, a thermally stable Ni-Fe alloy for the core 2, SiO2 for the gap film 6 and Cu for a conductor coil 4. The core 5 is disposed to face the core 2 with the film 6 in-between. Namely, the cores 2, 5 are magnetically coupled via the back gap and magnetic gap by holding a coil 4 therebetween to constitute a magnetic circuit part. The high recording and reproduced outputs are obtd. in such a manner without complicating the production process.
