    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyzed water producing apparatus comprising an electrochemical water quality-measuring apparatus which can shorten unnecessary waiting time from the starting operation to stable production of electrolyzed water. SOLUTION: This electrolyzed water producing apparatus is constituted of an electrolytic bath 2 to produced alkaline water and acidic water by electrolysis of water and separately discharge the produced alkaline water and acidic water and an electrochemical water quality measuring apparatus 20 comprising a water quality detecting part 17 installed in the electrolytic bath 2 to measure the quality of at least either one of the alkaline water or the acidic water and an amplifying part 14 to amplify the electromotive force generated in the water quality detecting part 17. The electromotive force of the electrochemical water quality measuring apparatus 20 to the amplifying part 14 is made to be applied at the time of starting water supply. At the time when water supply is stopped, the electromotive force is prevented from being applied to the amplifying part 14, so that the amplifying part 14 is prevented from being loaded with high overload.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolytic water forming apparatus which can perform measurement of quality of water without receiving any influence caused by adhesion of air bubbles to an acting electrode and stably. SOLUTION: This electrolytic water forming apparatus is formed by providing an electrolytic tank wherein alkaline water and acidic water are formed by electrolysis of water and these formed alkaline and acidic electrolytic waters are separately made to flow out and a water quality measuring device 20 which is arranged on the downstream side of the electrolytic tank and measures electrochemically the quality of water of the electrolytic tank. A water examining part 17 through which electrolytic water passes, an acting electrode part 28 whose bottom part is arranged by facing to the water examining part 17, a sealing part 18 for sealing the inner soln. 16, a comparative electrode part 21 arranged in the sealing part 18 and a porous liq. communicating part 22 between the water examining part 17 and the sealing part 18 are provided to form a water quality measuring device 20. In addition, the bottom part in the water examining part 17 of the acting electrode part 28 is formed into a projected shape.

The liquid to be inspected is introduced by the pipe 20 and made to strike against the spherical pH-sensitive glass film 8. This liquid passes through a circular passage 24 formed between the tubular member 4 and the pipe 20 and is discharged from a discharge port 18.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make it possible to measure ion activity on the surface of an object to be measured and the inside thereof by means of one composite electrode for measuring ion active amount. CONSTITUTION:A needle-like ion activity sensing electrode 1 that is provided with an ion active sensing membrane on its tip surface is fixed on a metallic tubular body 5 with an insulation tubular body 4 interposed. The body 5 is arranged inside an inner tubular body 11 of an insulation cover 10 with double- ply construction where the inner tubular body 11 and outer tubular body 12 are provided and a groove 14 is formed in an axial direction as to penetrate the side face, in such a way that the body 5 will be able to slide in an axial direction, being closely contact with the inner surface of the body 11. On the other hand, a liquid junction pad 16 of comparing electrode is fitted in a doughnut-like front end opening between the body 11 of the cover 10 and the body 12, and an inner electrolyte 17 and an inner electrode 18 of the comparing electrode are arranged in an inner space. Further, the sliding position is set in such a way that the surface of the junction 16 will be on the same plane of the surface of the electrode 1 when the electrode is drawn back to the utmost.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To stabilize an electrode potential of a pH electrode using metal or metal oxide for pH-sensitive film easily in a short time, and facilitate calibra tion operation. CONSTITUTION:After completion of measurement, pH electrode 30 and a comparison electrode 10 are contained in an adaptor 1 attached to a device main body, and electrodes 30, 10 are immersed in solution 15 of pH6.86, which is similar to that of inner liquid 13 of the comparison electrode 10, injected inside it. Electrode plugs of the electrodes 30, 10 are connected to a pH terminal 2 and a comparison terminal 3, and a switch 4 is put on, so the pH electrode 30 and the comparison electrode 10 are shortcircuitted. An electrode potential of the pH electrode 30 is thus returned to its original condition soon to be stabilized. In the meanwhile, the pH terminal of the device main body is shortcircuitted with the comparison terminal, and a gauge pointing value is set at pH6.86. Calibration for one point can thus be performed electrically, thereby need of complicated calibration operation can be eliminated.
