    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a photosensitive colored compsn. excellent in shelf stability, suitability to coating and spectral characteristics and to make a color filter smooth without deteriorating its color separation effect, antireflection effect and display contrast by incorporating a transparent resin, a multifunctional acrylic monomer or oligomer, a photopolymn. initiator, a colorant and barium sulfate. SOLUTION: Barium sulfate is added to a compsn. contg. a transparent resin, a multifunctional acrylic monomer or oligomer, a photopolymn. initiator and a colorant. The barium sulfate is particles of =80% in the wavelength range of 400-700 nm in the visible light region. Since the photosensitive colored compsn. is used in combination with the barium sulfate, the coloring material layer of a color filter can be made smooth without deteriorating the spectral characteristics of the color filter.
