Abstract: PURPOSE:To secure the highly sensitive performance of a pressure sensor by always deforming two film-shaped piezoelectric elements in the specified direction without inversion. CONSTITUTION:In a pressure sensor 1, two piezoelectric elements 2 and 3, wherein electrode layers are provided on both surfaces of each film-shaped piezoelectric body, are arranged so that the surfaces in the same direction form the same polarization. Fluid pressure is introduced through two inlet nozzles 39 and 40 on the first surface of one piezoelectric element and the second surface of the other piezoelectric element and the first surface of the other piezoelectric element and the second surface of one piezoelectric element, respectively. Two piezoelectric elements are bent in the same direction and hooked in holders 12, 13, 14 and 15. A means 51 for preventing the inversion of the piezoelectric elements 2 and 3 in the benging direction is provided in the holders.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable flow to be detected highly accurately by forming two piezoelectric element-holding surfaces in a pair which hold a piezoelectric element on a slant surface. CONSTITUTION:A piezoelectric element 102 is formed as merely a circular flat film before assembly. Also, with two holders 108 and 109 in a pair, piezoelec tric element holding surfaces 108a and 109a are formed in a same direction on a slanted surface at a same angle. Therefore, when the element 102 is held by the holders 108 and 109, a circular edge part of the element 102 is forced to be deformed along the slanted surfaces 108a and 109a and the entire element 102 is extended in diaphragm state, thus enabling the element 102 to be produced easily and flow to be detected highly accurately with high sensitivity.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate noise due to a sound pressure and to enable highly-precise detection of a pressure fluctuation by constructing first and second fluid pressure introduction channels and third and fourth fluid pressure introduction channels to be equal substantially in a length and a capacity. CONSTITUTION:First and second fluid pressure introduction channels 37 and 38, as well as third and fourth fluid pressure introduction channels 39 and 40, are constructed to be equal in a length and a capacity, respectively. As for two piezo-electric elements 2 and 3, accordingly, lengths between the opposite surfaces thereof and inlet nozzles 29 and 30 and capacities are equal respectively. The elements 2 and 3 are provided so that the opposite surfaces thereof face in the same direction respectively and that the surfaces in the same direction have the same polarization properties. Besides, the nozzle 29 communicates with the surfaces of the elements 2 and 3 being reverse in the polarization property to each other, through the channels 37 and 40, while the nozzle 30 communicates also with the surfaces of the elements 2 and 3 being reverse in the polarization property to each other, through the channels 38 and 39. By a sound pressure propagated, therefore, charges of the same amplitude are generated in the elements 2 and 3, a differential processing thereof is made, and thereby noise due to the sound pressure is removed automatically.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase sensitiveness and responsiveness of an infrared sensor so as to improve a signal-to-noise(SN) ratio by arranging a pyroelectric element constructed of a polymer dielectric film with a thermal capacity of a specific value or less and an electrode on a base board with a heat conductivity of a specific value or less. SOLUTION: In this infrared ray sensor, pyroelectric elements 3, 4 are arranged on a base board 6 arranged on a support 8 made of silicon or the like. The pyroelectric elements 3, 4 are constructed of a common electrode 5 and split electrodes 1, 2 arranged on both surfaces of a polymer dielectric film 7, and the pyroelectric elements 3, 4 are polarized from each other substantially. A heat conductivity of the base board 6 is 0.3 W/(m. deg.C) or less, while the polymer dielectric film 7 with thermal capacity of 5×10-4 J/K or less is arranged in the pyroelectric elements 3, 4. The base board 6 is formed of resin selected from polyester resins, polyamide resins, polyimide resins, fluorine resins and olefinic resins. In addition, copolymer of vinylidene fluoride and ethylene trifluoride or the like is used for the polymer dielectric film 7.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic bubble detection device, ultrasonic bubble detector and artificial dialyzer where bubbles flow smoothly and that can perform correct bubble detection and stable bubble detection. SOLUTION: In the ultrasonic bubble detector 1, the vibrating sections of a pair of ultrasonic oscillation elements 2 facing each other, separated by a liquid transport pipe where a liquid flows, shape into a strip and detects bubbles passing through a liquid transport pipe. In that case, the longitudinal direction of the strip-shaped vibrating section 2-a is arranged perpendicularly to the direction of flow of a liquid in the liquid transport pipe, the length of the strip- shaped vibrating sections is larger than the width (inside diameter) of the inside of the liquid transport pipe in a pinched state, and the liquid transport pipe is pinched and held at the same surface (height) H as the surface where the portions other than the vibrating sections of the ultrasonic vibration elements contact the liquid transport pipe in the detector.

An output from the element is passed through a filter 51 having gain characteristics of one divided by a square of a frequency to be amplified.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve power supply fluctuation characteristics while stabilizing sensitivity in measurement by providing a constant voltage circuit in a signal processing circuit and feeding power supply voltage also to a voltage comparator through a constant voltage regulator. CONSTITUTION:Output from an amplifying circuit section 53 is converted through a voltage comparator 55 having hysteresis into a pulse signal which is outputted through a level converter 59. The voltage comparator 55 has input hysteresis width which is determined by the output width of an element in the comparator 55 and corresponds with the voltage of a power supply 2. When the supply voltage is kept constant using a constant voltage circuit 51 and thereby the hysteresis width is kept constant, total sensitivity of the circuit 5 is kept constant and stabilized. Furthermore, fluctuation of power supply 2 due to high slew rate of the converter 59 and high amplitude operation is absorded by the circuit 51 and noise in the circuit 5 is suppressed. This constitution allows highly accurate detection only of pressure fluctuation and frequency of an object with stabilized sensitivity.
