SOLUTION: This method for producing an elastic woven fabric comprises false-twisting yarns comprising latent crimping conjugate type polymer-based fibers, additionally twisting the false-twisted yarns in a direction reverse to the false-twisted direction in a twisting coefficient K of 7,000-25,000 expressed by the following equation: T=K(T/D1/2) (T is a twisting number per m of the length of the yarn; D is the denier number of the yarn), thermally setting the twisted yarns, weaving the obtained strongly twisted yarns as warps and/or wefts, and then expressing crimps on the latent crimping conjugate type polyester-based fibers in the state of the woven fabric.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fused false-twist textured yarn capable of giving fabric products suitable as a material for clothing for spring and summer seasons having a fine uneven pattern with excellent frost- or grain-toned effect and dry and crisp touch feeling, despite having undrawn thick portions and fully draw thin portions along the filament, and to provide a method for producing the textured yarn. SOLUTION: This fused false-twist textured yarn comprises conjugate fiber multifilaments each composed of a polymer (A) consisting substantially of a polyester and a low-melting polymer (B) with a melting point >=20 deg.C lower than that of the polyester; wherein at least part of the low-melting polymer (B) is located on the surface of the filament, and fully drawn thin portions (a) and half-drawn thick portions b are partially and intermittently arranged in the direction of fiber axis. Furthermore, this textured yarn is characterized by that fused parts exist in both the thin portions (a) and the thick portions b each at one or more per m, and account for 10-85% of the whole filament yarn.
