    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mesh fabric for use in construction works which is light in the weight, soft in the touch, unlikely to generate joint dislocation, and has a high rate of utilization of thread strength, a stable draftiness, and also excellent anti-weatherability. SOLUTION: A mesh fabric for use in construction works is formed from threads of polyesfer series fire-retardant fibers consisting of a copolymeride of at least 40wt.% two-functional phosphorus compound. The mesh fabric is of 3- to 7-weft structure having a flameproofness to meet the fire retardancy test according to Division 3 of JISL-1091 A-1 method and Division 2 of D- method, and its tensile strength obtained from an outdoor exposure test for 365 days conducted by the 45-deg. outdoor exposure method according to JIS A-1410 is 135kg/3cm width both in the longitudinal and transverse directions.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fiber structure having excellent light-resistance and stable feeling by coating the surface of fiber with a reaction product of a UV- absorbing monomer and a melamine compound as essential reactants and fixing the coating layer to the fiber. SOLUTION: The objective fiber structure is produced by applying a mixed solution of (A) a UV-absorbing monomer consisting of a compound of formula I [R1 is a 1-6C alkyl or alkoxy; R2 is a 1-10C (oxy)alkylene; R3 is H or a lower alkyl; X is an ester bond, an amide bond, an ether bond or a urethane bond] or formula II [R1 is H, a halogen or methyl; R2 is a 1-6C hydrocarbon group; R3 is a 1-10C (oxy)alkylene; R4 is a 1-8C (amino)alkylene; R5 is H or a lower alkyl; X is same as described above] and produced by reacting a vinyl monomer such as (meth)acrylic acid or its alkyl ester with a crosslinking monomer having methylol group or carboxylic acid group such as methylol acrylamide or glycidyl acrylate, (B) a melamine compound of formula III (R1 to R6 are each H, OH, OCn H2n+1 , CH2 OH or CONH2 ) and (C) a persulfuric acid salt and steaming the coated fiber product.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To produce a tarpaulin passing a flameproofness test in conformity to JIS-L specification, free from the generation of a toxic gas and excellent in flame-retardant function by compounding an olefin resin with a specific phosphorus-containing compound. CONSTITUTION:This olefin resin tarpaulin having a lamination structure is obtained by applying an olefin resin incorporated with >=20 pts.wt. of a flame- retardant consisting of an aromatic diphosphonate expressed by the formula (R1 and R2 are each a lower alkyl; R and R are each H or a lower alkyl; Y is CH2, C(CH3)2, S, SO2, O, CO or N=N; k=0, 1; m=1-4) based on 100 pts.wt. of olefin resin, on the surface of a base cloth made of a synthetic fiber, a natural fiber, etc. The olefin resin is preferably an ethylene-alpha-olefin copolymer obtained by copolymerizing ethylene with an alpha-olefin such as butene-1 or hexene-1, ethylene-alkyl acrylate copolymer, etc. The tarpaulin is excellent in flame retardancy, passing a flameproofness test of class 2 or over in conformity to JIS A1322 and rated to a flameproofness function of JIS L1091. Further, the tarpaulin is excellent in weather resistance and soil-proofness.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the subject fiber passing a flame-retardant test of JIS-L specification, free from the generation of a toxic gas and excellent in washing durability by incorporating a polyester fiber with a specific phosphorus- containing compound. CONSTITUTION:This flame-retardant polyester fiber is obtained by immersing and treating a polyester fiber in a solution prepared by dissolving or homogeneously dispersing a phosphorus-containing compound expressed by the formula. The phosphorus-containing compound is attached on the treated fiber in an amount of 23% of weight of the fiber. The obtained fiber is free from the generation of a halogen-containing toxic gas and the deterioration of fiber properties and excellent in washing durability. The flameretardant fiber exhibits a carbonizing area at 45 degree by A-1 method of and that by A-2 method of and the number of flame contact in a coil method of >=3 in the specification of JIS-L-1091. The flame-retardant compound can be applied in the same bath as dyeing and, accordingly, dyeing and flame-retardant treatment can be performed at the same time.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fiber structure excellent in anti-staining, deodorizing and antimicrobial properties and useful for wall-decorating materials, curtains and the like by forming a coating film produced from an amino resin on the surfaces of the fibers and further forming a coating film containing photocatalyst particles.     Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain excellence in stainproof properties, weather resistance, fog resistance and transparency, to lessen also the lowering of the transmittance of sunbeams and, moreover, to enable attainment of the use for a long time. SOLUTION: This film for agriculture is a multilayer film formed by laminating thermoplastic resin films different in surface hardness, and the surface hardness of the outermost layer of the multilayer film is the largest, while either an intermediate or inner layer at least is made to contain a fog-resistant agent. At least one layer of the multilayer film is made to contain at least one kind out of an ultraviolet absorber and a light stabilizer and the multilayer film is made to have translucency of 80% or above as the total transmittance stipulated in JIS K-7105.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a flexible container of excellent thermal resistance and RF weldability by coating at least one surface of a base fabric with a thermoplastic resin film that contains ammonium polyphosphate. SOLUTION: This flexible container is obtained by mixing a thermoplastic resin that contains no halogen element, such as ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer or olefin-based elastomer, whose thermal resistance (determined in accordance with Japanese Industrial Standard Z 1651) is higher than 80 deg.C, with ammonium polyphosphate shown by the formula ((n) is 50 or a larger integer), forming the mixture into a 80-300μm thick sheet by a T-die extrusion method, and laying and hot-pressing the sheet on at least one surface of a base fabric of plain- weave texture.
