Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intelligent finish station having adaptability wherein an accumulation amount of a copy sheet set in a compiler can be supervised and adjusted. SOLUTION: In a discharging method of a copy sheet from a compiler in a print device, but a level of the copy sheet in a compiler tray 128 is detected, a tag of non-volatile memory displaying a surplus number of the copy sheets receivable in the compiler is supervised, a capacity count of a stapled sheet is referred. Corresponding to this reference, as a function of the level of the copy sheet in the compiler tray 128, tag of the non-volatile memory, and a capacity count of the stapled sheet, 1 set of the copy sheets can be discharged to except the expected from the compiler tray 128. In this way, a set rashly discharged possibly can be completed by a finisher, a set can be discharged by a finisher before leading to a paper jam condition.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for monitoring/controlling the electric parameter of an image forming surface. SOLUTION: A monitoring/controlling device includes a patch generator for recording a first control patch at a first voltage level and a second control patch at a second voltage level, on the image forming surface and an electrostatic wattmeter for measuring potentials related to the first and second control patches. A processor cooperated with the patch generator calculates the electric parameter of the image forming surface from the potentials measured from the first and second control patches. The processor decides the deviation between the calculated electric parameter value and a set up value. When the deviation exceeds a threshold level, the processor generates a feedback error signal and transmits it to the patch generator. This patch generator receives the error signal, to record a third control patch at a third voltage level on the image forming surface. An ESV senses the third control patch and the processor calculates the electric parameter on the image forming surface from the measured parameter of the third control patch, to decide a correction factor. A charge device, an exposure system and a developer are adjusted according to the correction factor.
