Abstract:
A method of sintering ceramics and ceramics obtained by said method. The synthesis and sintering of ceramics is simultaneously carried out utilizing the reaction heat generated when at least one metallic element selected from groups III, IVa, Va and VIa groups of the Periodic Table is combined with at least one nonmetallic element such as B, C, N and Si without the input of external heat or preliminary heating of the ceramics, at temperatures remarkably lower than the usual sintering temperature, to obtain ceramics superior in abrasion resistance and corrosion resistance.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to new aqueous microemulsions containing organic pesticide compounds of limited water-solubility and to their use for plant protection, including seed and crop protection, and protection or non-living material. The aqueous microemulsions comprise a) at least one pyrethroid compound P; b) at least one organic solvent, selected from compounds of the formula I R 1 -(O-Alk) m -O-C(O)R 2 (I) wherein m is 1, 2 or 3, R 1 is H, C 1 -C 6 -alkyl or C(O)R 3 , R 2 is hydrogen or C 1 -C 4 -alkyl, which may be unsubstituted or substituted with OH, Alk is C 2 -C 6 -alkylene, and R 3 is hydrogen or C 1 -C 4 -alkyl, which may be unsubstituted or substituted with OH; c) at least one surfactant; and d) water.
Abstract:
The invention provides a method of destroying tumor cells in the peritoneal cavity of a mammal. The method comprises administering to the mammal intraperitoneally a dose of replication-deficient adenoviral vector comprising (a) an exogenous nucleic acid sequence encoding a human TNF-a which is operably linked to a tumor cell-selective promoter, (b) a fiber protein wherein a native CAR-binding site is disrupted, and (c) and a penton base protein wherein a native integrin-binding site is disrupted.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To find that a battery is spent at a glance, so that it can be easily disposed without being included with a usable battery, eliminate the erroneous disposal of a usable battery, and contribute to the protection of resources by making a part of the facing of the battery removable. SOLUTION: A sticker-like removable facing sticker part 1 is provided oh a part of the facing of a battery 2 such as manganese battery, alkaline battery or the like. When the voltage is reduced, and the battery is spent, the sticker part on a part of the facing is peeled to store or dispose the battery as a spent battery. According to such a method, problems in disposal can be solved by clearly showing that the battery 2 is spent.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production process for BN, AlN or Si3N4 of high purity that gives very fine particles of products in no need of crushing without contamination of impurities from the heating material for ignition by permitting the combustion synthesis of BN, AlN or Si3N4 in the nitrogen atmosphere under the pressure lower than the prescribed one where the combustion synthesis has been regarded to be impossible. SOLUTION: The combustion synthesis is initiated by irradiating the starting boron powder, aluminum powder or silicon powder with the laser of a wavelength longer than 770 nm with the output power of 0.5-500 watts in a nitrogen atmosphere under
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a member of high strength a reinforcement member, and a shaft and a head and the like of a golf club. SOLUTION: A member 1 is a pipe form member with a circular form of cross section, and the air is pressed in to the inner side. Reinforcement members 2 have hollow spaces, and the air is pressed in, although their cross section forms are different. The strength of the reinforcement members 2 is increased by the applied air pressure. As a result, the reinforcement members 2 improve the strength of a vehicle, suppress the deformation of a cabin part at the minimum, and can prevent the damage of the persons in the vehicle when a trouble is generated. And the weight of the vehicle can be reduced, and the reinforcement members 2 can be communicated each other. And air pressure inlets are provided, from which the air can be pressed in.
