    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a three-dimensional position of a movable body using an interval between two measuring means to reduction-compensate a two-dimensional scanning range to make it follow the movement by scanning the movable body by light emitting parts of the two measuring means and by detecting a light reception amount corresponding to an incident angle reflected by an omni-directional reflector. CONSTITUTION:After semiconductor laser of sensors 32, 33 is lit, an MPU 21 grounds switches SW1, SW2 to issue an instruction for rotating mirrors 11, 12 of the sensors 32, 33 at predetermined angle speed within an angle range of a large amplitude mode L. When the instruction is received via a light receiving element 22 and a comparison circuit 25, SW1, SW2 are switched over to D/A conversion circuits 26, 27. With values corresponding to incident angles to encoders 15, 16 at the time of light reception used as offset values, following of a movable body 31 is started. A scanning range is reduction-compensated, and the MPU 21 issues an instruction for rotating the mirrors 11, 12 of the respective sensors at predetermined angle speed within an angle range of a small amplitude mode M. When as a result the laser detects an omni-directional reflector 34 of the movable body 31, angle information is obtained from latch circuits 19, 20 so that the MPU calculates a position of the movable body.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enhance the resolution of an optical encoder by interposing an optical phase changing element between a light source and a light concentrating means, and thereby splitting a beam spot at a certain pitch corresponding to the pitch of recording. CONSTITUTION:On a disk 32, light/dark stripes 32b are recorded at a constant spacing in the rotating direction of the disk. A light shutting place 20 is inserted in a light path between a quarter wave-length plate 39 and an objective lens 35. A local phase change is given to a laser beam LB emitted from a semi-conductor laser 33, and striation spots SP0-SP2 split in three fractions due to mutual interference of the light are generated on the recording surface of the disk 32. This enables sensing of the location information of fine recording pitch, and the resolution of an optical encoder can be enhanced.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To expand a part where the linearity of a characteristic curve is good by arranging plural MR elements dispersedly in the moving direction of a body to be measured. CONSTITUTION:Since MR sensors 6A and 6B are close to a permanent magnet 4 at a period of 360 deg., projection and recess output characteristics having peaks in the period of 360 deg. are obtained. Further, there is a 180 deg. phase difference between the sensors 6A and 6B, so the sensors 6A and 6B have sufficient output levels and can be utilized within a range where output response to displacement is excellent by performing switching control by a control circuit 7 so that their outputs are made effective in ranges of 180 deg. where the linearity is excellent. The good-linearity ranges of the characteristics of the MR elements are employed to improve the measurement accuracy.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To increase a response frequency and to obtain sufficient durability by providing a data selecting means which selects absolute position data corresponding to a selected channel and supplies the absolute position data as preset data to the counter of an arithmetic means. CONSTITUTION:Analog detection signals outputted from sensors 11 and 12 provided corresponding to channels are selected in order and supplied to the arithmetic means 28, which converts the analog detection signals into digital signals; and then a digital phase-locked loop which has the counter 24 calculates the absolute position data corresponding to the absolute position of an element to be detected in the corresponding channel and stored it in registers, channel by channel, so that the absolute position data corresponding to the currently selected channel is supplied as the preset data to the counter 24 of the arithme tic means 28. Consequently, the response frequency can be increased and the sufficient durability is obtained.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To always obtain a displacement detecting signal of a prescribed signal level by adjusting the quantity of air exhausted from an air floating head by a level difference signal and adjusting a gap between its head and a magnetic recording medium. CONSTITUTION:When a magnetic recording medium 1 rotates around the axis center 1a, magnetic information is read by a magnetic sensor which is loaded on an air floating head 2, and from analog amplifiers 5a, 5b, displacement detecting signals VA (A phase), VB (B phase) are outputted. Subsequently, the signal VA which has been outputted from the amplifier 5a is brought to waveform shaping, and supplied as a sampling clock VC to sample holding circuits 9, 10. Next, in the circuit 9, whenever the clock VC rises, a signal level of the signal VB is brought to sample holding. Also, in the circuit 10, whenever the clock VC rises, an output level of the circuit 9 is brought to sample holding. Moreover, in a comparator 11, the output levels of the circuits 9, 10 are compared, a level difference signal is outputted, and a valve 3 is adjusted 4.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make it possible to process a ceramic type superconductive material into a linear material easily by heating and melting near the end of a rod-formed material which consists of a sintered body of a ceramic type superconductor, and drawing to form a minute linear form. CONSTITUTION:A rod-formed material 10 is covered with a glass material by inserting a round rod of sintered body 11 of a ceramic type superconductive material into a glass material 12 which consists of a Vycor glass tube and the like with its tip 12a sharpened. By holding the rod-formed material 10 at the holding device 1 of a linear material processing device, near the end of the tip 10a is heated with a heating device 2, and the glass material 12 is softened, as well as the sintered body 11 is melted. Then, a minute wire 13 formed by drawing the tip 12a of the softened glass material 12 downward is wound up to a linear material winding device 5 through a guide 4 while cooling it by a cooling device 3. In this case, the heating temperature is set in the scope to make the viscosity of the glass material between 10 and 10 poise. And the glass material after the drawing formation into a minute line is removed by a chemical treatment.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To perform fast processing by reducing the number of bits of an A/D converter when the output frequency of an encoder increases, and reducing the number of output bits of a memory and the number of count bits of a counting means. CONSTITUTION:When an input signal frequency increases, an input frequency decision circuit 16 detects that and generates signals Sa and Sb having values corresponding to the detected frequency. Consequently, a selector 15 operates so as to reduce the numbers of conversion bits of A/D converters 11 and 12, whose conversion times become short by the reduced number of bits. Function generators corresponding to the numbers of conversion bits of the converters 11 and 12 are selected among M1-Mn, and multipliers 3 and 4 are reduced in the number of arithmetic bits and therefore shortened in multiplication time. Thus, the number of bits of the loop formed of the multipliers 3 and 4, a comparator 8, a counter 18, and memories M1-Mn is reduced.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To operate a digital phase locked loop in an excellent way by providing 1st and 2nd filtering means and a selection means and obtaining a stable output digital signal even when noise is included in an input analog signal. CONSTITUTION:An output signal is increased/decreased in the unit of 1 bit only in the 1st filtering, means F1 and no noise included in the input analog signal is outputted. In the 2nd filtering means F2, a signal nearly averaging the input signal over a prescribed period is outputted, then the noise in the input analog signal is reduced remarkably. Moreover, in using the 1st and 2nd filtering means F1, F2 in cascade, the noise reduction effect of the filtering means is overlapped.
