Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aberration correcting element which has excellent characteristics such as a fast response speed, fine aberration correction, high reliability and is suitable for correcting spherical aberration, comatic aberration, etc., in an optical pickup. SOLUTION: Upper electrodes 3a-3m and a lower electrode 4 of this aberration correcting element are formed on both surfaces of a plate-like electro- optical material 2 made of PLZT, etc., respectively, and the lower electrode 4 has a contact earth pattern, and the upper electrodes 3a-3m have a purality of separate patterns for applying different voltages to the electro-optical material 2 according to the places. By means of this constitution, optical path differences are made to vary according to the places by electrically controlling the refractive index of the electrooptical material 2 and thus controlling a phase of incident light to correct the aberration.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the repulsion characteristics for a ball when it is hit, improve a carry, and adjust a center of gravity position of a head and ball hitting sound easily by providing a plurality of long holes which are parallel mutually in a ball hitting part of the head molded by a metal powder injection molding means. SOLUTION: A head 1 of an iron club manufactured by a metal powder injection molding method is constituted in such a way that a ball hitting part 2 and a hosel part 3 are integrally formed by a metallic material such as, for example, titanium and titanium alloy and a recessed part 4 is formed on a back face 2b side thereof. Moreover, the ball hitting part 2 of the head 1 has a cross section of which wall thickness is gradually reduced from a top line 2A side on an upper side toward the vertical direction on a leading edge 2B side on a lower side. A plurality of long holes 5 which are along the horizontal direction are formed in parallel mutually across an interval in the vertical direction inside the ball hitting part 2. Moreover, a diameter of each long hole 5 is set in such a way that it is gradually reduced toward the leading edge 2B side on the lower side in accordance with the wall thickness form of the ball hitting part 2.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the flight distance of a ball at the time of ball driving and to increase a ball driving feeling and a ball driving sound by providing a dissimilar metal raw material softer than a metal base material on the face surface of the ball drive section of a head molded with a desired metal base material by a powder metal injection molding means. SOLUTION: A head 1 is manufactured by the powder metal injection molding method. The head 1 is made of a desired metal base material 20 of titanium (Ti) or a titanium alloy, and it is integrally formed with a ball drive section 2 and a hosel section 3. The back section 2b side corresponding to the face surface 2a of the ball drive section 2 is formed into a cavity shape by the formation of a recess 4, and the sole surface 2c side is formed into a thick swelled shape relatively wide in width. A dissimilar metal raw material 21 softer than the metal base material 20 is provided on the face surface 2a of the ball drive section 2 of the head 1, thus a cushioning property against the shock of a ball at the time of ball driving is applied to the face surface 2a.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable ultra-lower centroid and to improve the degree of freedom in designing in centroid position adjustment by forming the head ball hitting part of a club head of a high sp. gr. metallic material and forming a head hosel part of a low sp. gr. metallic material. SOLUTION: An iron club head 1 is formed by integrally joining the ball hitting part 2 consisting of the high sp. gr. metallic material, such as stainless steel, and the hosel part 3 consisting of the low sp. gr. metallic material, such as titanium alloy, with different kind metallic materials by a powder metal injection molding means. The head hosel part 3 is provided with a shaft insertion hole 4 into which a shaft is inserted and adhered. Plural lines of recessed grooves 5 for enhancing the strength of adhesion of the shaft are formed in a spiral or other form on the inner peripheral surface of this shaft insertion hole 4. According to such head 1, the ultra-lower centroid is made possible without the attachment of weight bodies and the position adjustment in the vertical direction of the head centroid G and a toe and heel side direction is easily executable. The degree of freedom in designing is increased.
