    Abstract: An amplification circuit for power amplification of an audio signal or other signal includes a main power source line (42) for supplying a driving power to a load, a switching element (Qs) inserted in the main power source line for turning on and off the main power line, a smoothing circuit (L1) inserted in the main power line for smoothing an output of the switching element, a switching control circuit for switching the switching element with a variable on-off ratio in accordance with the level of an input signal, an auxiliary power source line (48) capable of responding to change in the level of the input signal at a higher speed than the main power line to supply power to the load, an auxiliary power supply amount adjusting element (Qb) inserted in the auxiliary power line to adjust the power supply amount from the auxiliary power source line to the load, and an auxiliary power supply amount control circiut for controlling the auxiliary power supply adjusting element to cause power corresponding to deficiency of power supply by the main power source line to be supplied from the auxiliary power source line. The amplification circuit is driven by a power voltage capable of supplying substantially a maximum output from the auxiliary power source line to the load regardless of magnitude of deficiency of the power supply amount to the load by the main power source line.

    Abstract: A power supply circuit of a switching inverter type includes a switching circuit (2) including two switching elements capable of being alternately on-off controlled for converting an input from a dc power source into ac by switching of the switching elements and outputting it, a dc output circuit (3) for full-wave rectifying and smoothing a supplied ac input to provide a dc output,a series resonance circuit (4) provided in series to current flowing from the output terminal of the switching circuit, a parallel resonance circuit (5) provided in parallel to voltage produced at the output terminal of the switching circuit, and a switching control circuit (6) for intermittently turning on the switching elements of the switching circuit. A dc output is taken out of resonance current of the series resonance circuit by the dc output circuit and potential at the output terminal of the switching circuit is converted from one potential to another by using parallel resonance voltage of the parallel resonance circuit, whereby all switching operations of the switching elements are performed substantially at a voltage zero state or substantially at a current zero state and harmonic contents in operation voltage and operation current in the circuit are reduced.

    Abstract: There is provided a D/A converter that is free from a variation in the voltage width of 1 LSB between more significant bits and less significant bits of data for conversion due to variations in characteristics of resistors, transistors, etc. to thereby ensure a higher conversion accuracy than the conventional D/A converter. The eight more significant bits of 12-bit data for conversion are applied to a decoder 21, while the four less significant bits of the same are applied to a current addition circuit 22. The decoder 21 selects one of FET's F0 to F255 based on the eight more significant bits to cause one of voltages divided by a series circuit formed by resistors r0 to r255 to be applied to an operational amplifier 40. On the other hand, switches 30 to 33 of the current addition circuit 22 are switched, respectively, by the four less significant bits to turn respective FET's 35 to 38 on and off. As a result, currents flowing through turned-on ones of the FET's 35 to 38 are synthesized to flow through the resistor ra so that a voltage is generated across the resistor ra. The operational amplifier 40 synthesizes the two voltages and then outputs the synthesized voltage. An FET 24 and each of the FET's 35 to 38 form a current mirror circuit, whereby the influence of variations in characteristics of the resistors, etc. is eliminated.
