Abstract:
A varnish injector assembly for an electric motor includes an injector nozzle, a varnish reservoir fluidly connected to the injector nozzle, and a filament extending from the varnish reservoir. The filament is configured to direct varnish from the injector nozzle to a slot of a stator core.
Abstract:
A device for applying a protective coating to the weld or solder seam of a can body has an application roller (2) serving to apply a coating material inside a region covering the seam at the inside (15) of the can body. The roller periphery has a cross-sectional profile (5) comprising at least one depression (10) in a middle region (9) of a middle portion (6) having a region width of less than 60% of the width of the middle portion (6). The profile (5) further comprises at least one salient point and/or at least two points of inflection in this middle region (9). The device renders it possible to achieve optimum layer thicknesses of the coating over the seam, which are neither too little for the stresses occurring during the long-term storage of corrosive liquids nor too great for the tearing strength stressing of the coating which occurs during the flanging over of the edges of the can body. As a result of the form of the roller, an optimum profile of the coating layer applied results, with the greatest layer thickness immediately above the seam.
Abstract:
Adhesive applicators having a flexible valve disk which defines a metering chamber with a valve body, the valve body with the valve is insertable into a can component in close confinement thereby and the valve is operated by flexing the disk to compress the adhesive and spurt it against the confining surface of the can body to form a bead and band of adhesive into which the other can component is subsequently telescoped.
Abstract:
An apparatus for painting the inner surface of the welded side seam of a can body with its top and bottom open. The apparatus uses an applicator roll having an annular projection with an acute vertical angle formed in the middle and both edges of the outer periphery.
Abstract:
An apparatus for applying a protective coating to the inside of the welded seam of cans. When fabricating cans which are provided at their inner surface with a protective coating it is necessary, following the welding operation, to apply to the region of the welding seam the then missing part of the protective coating. Prior techniques were unable to achieve any optimum application of the seam-coating which would reliably cover the welded seam. If the fabricated cans are particularly intended for use for canned foods this then is dangerous to the health of the user. With the apparatus of the invention the protective coating is applied by means of a driven applicator roll to the welded seam. By suitably selecting the outer or jacket surface of the roll and a scraper as well as the rotational speed of the roll it is possible to optimize application of the protective coating.
Abstract:
Abstract:
The invention relates to an applicator head (10) for attachment to a reservoir (41) or a mixing device in order to fill an elongated deep gap (47b) from an access area lying next to the gap with an adhesive or sealant from the reservoir or mixing device, wherein the applicator head has a first discharge channel (15) that has a first discharge opening (15a) and is connected to an outlet (11) of the reservoir or the mixing device and a second discharge channel (17) that has a second discharge opening (17a), wherein the first discharge channel and the first discharge opening have a significantly smaller cross-section than the second discharge channel and the second discharge opening.
Abstract:
A tool for forming an abradable coating in an aircraft turbine engine module, this module having an annular stator casing and a central rotor which can move inside the casing about an axis, wherein it has a first portion which is attached to the rotor, a second portion which includes at least one first trans-verse arm extending radially outwards and carrying spreading rollers, and a flywheel centered on the axis and configured to be rotated manually by an operator in order to rotate the tool and the rotor within the casing, so that the spreading rollers are capable of spreading a resin in order to form the coating.
Abstract:
A method for continuously coating the inside of a continuously extruded hollow profiled bar made of elastic material and a liquid wiper and a device for removing excess coating agent from the chambers of a hollow profiled member. A hollow profiled bar is directed through a stationary supply of a liquid coating agent on a bent, arc-shaped track, whereby inner walls of the hollow profiled bar are moistened with coating agent, and the hollow profiled bar is guided along a rising track directly after running through the coating agent supply. Excess coating agent is wiped off one or plural inner walls with the aid of liquid wipers mounted inside the hollow chambers, the hollow profiled bar being continuously moved relative to the liquid wipers. The liquid wipers include at least one magnet or magnetizable material and a wiping lip that touches the inner walls while being located downstream of the coating agent supply in a zone of a sloped track of the hollow profiled bar. The liquid wipers are retained in a steady position within the track of the hollow profiled bar with the aid of counter magnet or magnetizable materials that are fixed next to the outer surface of the continuous hollow profiled bar.
