Abstract:
A reinforcement for a building works structure comprising an assembly of solid wires. The wires are mutually parallel to form a bundle and the reinforcement comprises a sheath made of plastic material enclosing the bundle and providing it with cohesion.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an elongated clamping unit (100) with a casing (102), which surrounds an interior (104), and a plurality of clamping elements (106), which run in the longitudinal direction (A) of the clamping unit (100) and are received in the interior (104) of the casing (102). According to the invention, the casing (102) has a depression (108) which protrudes into the interior (104) at at least one circumferential position, wherein at least one electric functional unit (112), for example at least one lighting unit, and at least one connection line (114a, 114b) for the at least one electric functional unit (112) are received in said depression. Alternatively, the at least one electric functional unit can also be received in a paired recess of a water-repelling element which is arranged on the outer surface of the casing.
Abstract:
Abstract:
An elongate sleeve for protecting elongate members and method of construction thereof has a textile sleeve with a wall having an inner surface providing a cavity extending along a longitudinal axis of the sleeve for receiving the elongate members. A resilient support member is arranged in communication with the wall. The support member has an arcuate shape in lateral cross-section with an outer convex surface facing outwardly from the axis for flush engagement with the inner surface of the wall and an inner concave surface facing inwardly toward the axis. The support member extends less than completely about a circumference of the inner surface.
Abstract:
An elevator rope comprising an elastomer coated, multistrand steel wire cable is claimed. In such a cable strands have a lay-length of at least 6.5 times the diameter of the bare cable diameter D. The cable is further coated with an elastomeric jacket, which adheres to the strands with a pull-out force not less than 15xD+15 newton per mm. The advantages of such an elevator rope are amongst others its limited elongation, its reduced diameter and its improved fatigue life.
Abstract:
A tension member for a lifting and/or hoisting system includes a core including a plurality of load carrying fibers arranged in a matrix material, and an outer layer secured to the core including a plurality of outer fibers arranged around a perimeter of the core. The outer layer includes one or more outer fibers arranged off-axis relative to the load carrying fibers of the core. A method of forming a tension member for an elevator system includes arranging a plurality of load carrying fibers along a length of the tension member, retaining the plurality of load carrying fibers in a matrix material to define a core, and enclosing the core in an outer layer including a plurality of outer fibers arranged around a perimeter of the core. The outer layer includes one or more outer fibers arranged off-axis relative to the load carrying fibers of the core.

Abstract:
The strand comprises a group of twisted metal wires, a plastic sheath and a pliant filling compound which fills internal interstices between the twisted wires of the group and a peripheral interstice lying between the periphery of the group and the inner face of the sheath. This peripheral interstice has, in a cross section of the strand, an area of between Pnullemin and 0.6nullS2, where P is the external perimeter of the group of wires, eminnull0.05 mm and S2 is the cumulative area of the gaps lying between the periphery of the group and the smallest circle within which the group is inscribed.
Abstract:
Braided tubular sleeving with at least two rib strands braided into and around the circumference, optionally encased in a smooth unribbed braid, and in one aspect coated with a vermiculite coating.
