Method for stopping a hermetically encapsulated refrigerant compressor (1) having a hermetically sealed housing (7), arranged therein a reciprocating piston/cylinder unit (2) which comprises a crankshaft (3), and an electric motor (4) which drives the crankshaft (3), and a control unit (5) which controls the electric motor (4), wherein the control unit (5) operates the electric motor (4) if an operating signal, preferably a frequency signal, is present, and detects the termination of the operating signal. It is provided that, after the detection of the termination of the operating signal, a rotational speed (V) of the crankshaft (3) is reduced by means of the electric motor (4) with a reduction rate over a time duration (I), wherein the time duration (I) is determined in a manner which is dependent on the last operating signal before it is terminated.

Verfahren zum Anhalten eines hermetisch gekapselten Kältemittelverdichters (1) mit einem hermetisch dichten Gehäuse (7), darin angeordnet eine eine Kurbelwelle (3) umfassende Hubkolben-Zylinder-Einheit (2) und ein die Kurbelwelle (3) antreibender Elektromotor (4), sowie eine den Elektromotor (4) steuernde Steuereinheit (5), wobei die Steuereinheit (5) den Elektromotor (4) bei Vorliegen eines Betriebssignals vorzugsweise eines Frequenzsignals, betreibt und das Erlöschen des Betriebssignals detektiert. Es ist vorgesehen, dass nach der Detektion des Erlöschens des Betriebssignals über eine Zeitdauer (τ) hinweg eine Drehzahl (ν) der Kurbelwelle (3) mittels des Elektromotors (4) mit einer Verringerungsrate verringert wird, wobei die Zeitdauer (τ) in Abhängigkeit des letzten Betriebssignals vor dessen Erlöschen bestimmt wird.

Control system for hermetic cooling compressor, which includes a reciprocating compressor (3) and an electronic control (2) for the reciprocating compressor (3), the electronic control (2) being configured for, after commanding the turning off of the reciprocating compressor (3), detecting whether the turn velocity (33) of the turning axle (10) is below a predefined velocity level (34) and then applying a braking torque (36) that causes deceleration of the turning axle (10) before completing the next turn of the turning axle (10), in case the turn velocity (33) detected is below the velocity level (34).
