Abstract: A work module for connection to a main conveyor line in a conveyor system, in which the work module comprises a first transverse conveyor line, a longitudinal conveyor line and a second transverse conveyor line. Abstract: Packaging containers (14) with a flange or the like are transferred separately from a feed device (13) to an endless conveyor (10) whilst supporting the containers with a pair of substantially horizontal chains (15, 16) using neck support. A substantially horizontal wheel (18) with peripheral rings for placing under the container flange combines with a rod (15c) forming an extension of one of the chains to form a roll path for the containers, at the end of which is the conveyor. Abstract: The second chain in the transfer unit between adjacent conveyor runs has at least one section forming a second active load support surface (3a) and at least one further section forming a second passive load support surface (2a), both of which lie in a plane (4, 6) on either side of the plane (5) of the load support surface in the first chains. The drive mechanism for the conveyor rotates the second chain between an active and passive position. The conveyor includes a first transport path defined by two or more cooperating, at least partially parallel and preferably endless chains, belts or the like, with a space in between containing a transfer unit which is used to transfer objects between adjacent conveyor runs and which is surrounded by the conveyor. The transfer unit comprises at least one second chain, belt or the like extending at an angle greater than 0 (90) deg. relative to the first transport path. A goods handling unit is also provided, extending across the width of the conveyor.

Abstract: Deflecting device for a conveyor, comprising at least one profiled element (10) and deflecting devices (25) and in which a continuous conveyor chain is driven in the profiled element and the said deflecting devices. The profiled element comprises a first guide (11, 11') for the motion of the chain in the direction of a deflecting device and a second guide (12, 12') for the motion of the chain away from the deflecting device. The said at least one deflecting device has a third guide (26, 29, 40) on a pair of mutually opposing wall elements (25) actively connectable to the first and second guides and comprises a part (30'', 30'') which reverses the motional direction of the chain. Each wall element has a fixture device (30), configured in one piece therewith, for snapping-in of the guide/slide element on both sides of the conveyor.
