Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for managing a popularity of an internet site using a communication between servers is provided to manage of an internet site by directly communicating a directory server with an object site server without a delay load to a client. CONSTITUTION: A client requests a search for catalogs of sites to which the client wants to connect to a directory server(S301). The directory server searches the catalogs of the sites using a database(S302). The directory server transmits the catalogs to the client(S303). The client selects a specific object site(S304). The client generates a connection message for connecting to the site(S305). The client connects to the site(S306). The client transmits the message to an object site server(S307). The server analyzes the message from the client(S308). The server transmits a message to the directory server, and makes a request for increasing a popularity of the site to the directory server(S309). The directory server calls a popularity management device, and increases the popularity of the site(S310). The popularity management device increases the popularity of the site(S311).
