Abstract: The present invention provides an opening-and-closing mechanism capable of reducing a falling momentum due to gravitational force of a lid that is opened and closed past the top in the perpendicular direction and easily raising the lid against the gravitational force. The opening-and-closing mechanism includes two supporting members (7, 9) and an intermediate member (15) disposed so as to be relatively rotatable about a rotation axis; a first damper (11R), disposed between a first one of the supporting members (9) and the intermediate member (15), for generating resistance against rotation during relative rotation of the two supporting members (7, 9) in one direction; a second damper (11L), disposed between a second one of the supporting members (7) and the intermediate member (15), for generating resistance against rotation during relative rotation of the two supporting members (7, 9) in another direction; and rotation-restricting portions (29R, 29L) for restricting relative rotation ranges of the two supporting members (7, 9) and the intermediate member (15).

Abstract: The invention relates to door closers, particularly a door closer control device that regulates the flow of a pressure medium controlling the function of a door closer. A control device according to the invention includes a support part with a collar that serves as a second support for the control device on the door closer body in addition to the support in the guiding part. This second support holds the control device in place within the pressure medium flow without any rocking or swaying movement, which would hamper the door closing speed.

Abstract: A hinge includes a hinge assembly and a damper assembly. The damper assembly includes a stationary housing defining a cavity. A damper body rotatablely installed in the cavity has a head protruding to form a cylindrical guiding portion and a pushing portion defining two side ends apart from each other. At least one of the side ends has a step-shaped profile to make the width of the pushing portion between the side ends nonuniform, and rotatable sheets and stationary sheets are received in the cavity and alternately disposed on the guiding portion and the pushing portion. The stationary sheets are fixed to the stationary housing. Each of the rotatable sheets protrudes inwardly to form a retaining portion. The side ends of the pushing portion alternately contact the retaining portions and contact the retaining portions at intervals when the elastic force of the hinge assembly is released to drive the damper body rotating. Damper resin is filled between the adjacent stationary sheets and rotatable sheets.

Abstract: A regulating valve, which is attachable in particular in a bore, executed with a female thread, of a hydraulic door closer. The regulating valve has a body adjoined by a regulating section and has a thread located at the body. In order to provide a regulating valve which has a simple configuration, and in which an unwanted, independent adjusting of the regulating valve is excluded during operation, at least one prominence is provided in a reception for an insert part. The prominence engages in a surface of an insert part such that, upon an axial rotational movement of the regulating valve, the insert part is moved in rotational direction. The insert part cooperates in a clamping and a sealing manner with the bore or the female thread of the door closer. In one embodiment, the prominences act as a cam for the insert part.

Abstract: A hinge includes a housing. A stopper plugging up one end of the housing defines a through-hole. A sliding cam slideably received in the housing defines concave portions on a top surface thereof and an axial hole. A top surface of the base portion protrudes upward and defines a stepped portion. A spring is slideably received in the housing. An end of the shaft is fixed with the stopper, and an opposite end of the shaft is received in the receiving hole. A damper has a top wall extending downward to form an enclosure. A top surface of the top wall protrudes upward to form a preventing block. A bottom surface of the top wall extends downward to form mounting portions. The mounting portions are encircled in the enclosure and match with the stepped portion. A cap rotatablely receiving the damper defines an accommodating space. A part of the accommodating space forms a restraining portion.
