본 발명에서, 송신측의 방송 서비스 장치는 전송스트림의 제어 정보에 해당하는 프로그램 맵 테이블 내에 방송 모드 지시자를 위치시켜 전송되는 전송스트림이 2차원 방송 프로그램에 해당하는지 아니면 3차원 방송 프로그램에 해당하는지 수신측에 알린다. 이에 따라, 수신측의 방송 서비스 장치는 수신되는 전송스트림으로부터 해당 전송스트림의 방송 모드 정보를 추출하고, 추출된 방송 모드 정보에 따라 해당 전송스트림의 복호화 방법 및 패럴랙스 베리어를 자동으로 제어한다.
