Abstract: PURPOSE: A disaster broadcast providing apparatus and a method thereof are provided to provide a disaster broadcast service only in an area where a disaster situation is generated. CONSTITUTION: A control unit of a monitoring unit relays a digital multimedia broadcasting (DMB) signal to a broadcast receiver which is in a signal reaching range. Abstract: An apparatus and a method for conditional access of a terrestrial DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) service are provided to supply a conditional access service in a shared scrambling manner by receiving ensemble data where many programs are hierarchically mixed, selecting a certain program and scrambling the ensemble data in a manner suitable for a hierarchy of the selected program.
