Bei einem härtbaren Mittel auf Basis mindestens eines silylterminierten Polymers sollen das Haftspektrum bei der Verklebung von Kunststoffen und die Geschwindigkeit des Haftungsaufbaus verbessert werden. Dies gelingt durch Zurverfügungstellung eines härtbaren Mittels, enthaltend zwei nicht miteinander in Kontakt stehende Komponenten (1 ) und (2), wobei Komponente (1) mindestens ein Polymer mit mindestens einer Endgruppe der Formel (I) -A n -CH 2 -SiXYZ (I), worin A eine zweibindige Bindegruppe ist, X, Y, Z unabhängig voneinander C 1 - C 8 - Alkyl-, C 1 - C 8 - Alkoxy- oder C 1 - C 8 - Acyloxygruppen sind, wobei mindestens einer der Substituenten eine C 1 - C 8 - Alkoxy- oder C 1 - C 8 - Acyloxygruppe ist, und n 0 oder 1 ist; und Komponente (2) mindestens Wasser und mindestens einen Silanol-Kondensationskatalysator enthält. A moisture-curable resin composition comprising (a) a moisture-curable polymer having at least one hydrolysable silyl group; (b) a reactive modifier; (c) a catalyst for catalyzing the reaction between the moisture-curable polymer (a) and reactive modifier (b) under curing conditions; and optionally, the composition can contain one or more conventional components, including pigments, fillers, curing catalysts, dyes, plasticizers, thickeners, coupling agents, extenders, volatile organic solvents, wetting agents, tackifiers, crosslinking agents, thermoplastic polymers, ultraviolet stabilizers, and combination thereof. The moisture-curable resin composition is useful in the production of adhesives including hot melt adhesives, primers, sealants and coatings.

Preferably, the adhesive composition further comprises one or more heat stabilizers and/or light stabilizers. In another embodiment, the invention is a method of bonding a window to a coated substrate, such as a window in a vehicle, which comprises applying to the window or the coated substrate an adhesive as described; contacting the window with the coated substrate wherein the adhesive is located between the window and the substrate; and allowing the adhesive to cure.
