Abstract:
A system and method for selling coloring substances is presented herein. An application program for converting spectrophotometer measurements at client computers to color space coordinates is placed on a server. Spectrophotometer measurements are transmitted to the application program over a client/server connection. The application program converts the spectrophotometer measurements into a color space coordinate and stores records catalogued by the color space coordinate in a database at the server. Storage of color space coordinates of coloring substances at the server facilitates pairing of potential buyers and sellers. Additionally, storage of color space coordinates at the server also results in a larger number of records, thereby permitting greater flexibility in recipe calculations.

PURPOSE: A portable digital color recognition device is provided to reliably ensure mobility of the device, while minimizing test error by permitting the device to be less sensitive to the environment. CONSTITUTION: A portable digital color recognition device(100) comprises a sensor unit(200) for discriminating colors by using the light radiated to an object and reflected from the object; and a signal processing unit for outputting a control signal to the sensor unit so as to allow the sensor unit to emit light, and informing color of the object by using the color signal input from the sensor unit. The sensor unit includes a main body(210); a first tube(220) having an end fixed to the main body and the other end which is open and equipped with a rubber corrugated tube(221); a sensor fixing member which is T-shaped, inserted into the first tube and fixed to the main body of the sensor unit; a second tube(240) having an end with a stopper protrusion and the other end which is open, wherein the second tube is installed within the first tube in such a manner that the bottom surface of the top of the sensor fixing member contacts the stopper protrusion; an elastic support member and a plurality of switches interposed between an end of the main body and the stopper protrusion of the second tube; a plurality of light emitting elements arranged at the outer periphery of the upper surface of the sensor fixing member; and RGB sensors arranged at the center of the sensor fixing member.

PURPOSE: A color metering and comparing apparatus is provided to achieve an absolute comparison between two colors by comparing through RGB values, while minimizing color difference caused due to disturbance by obtaining data for color at the same time under the same environment. CONSTITUTION: A color metering and comparing apparatus comprises a hood(100) for preparing dark room for the samples for color metering are disposed, by cutting off disturbances; a sensing unit(200) for converting color information for the samples into an electronic system and obtaining RGB data; a control unit(300) including a memory for storing the color image input through the sensing unit, a filter unit(310) for filtering the color information input through the sensing unit, and a CPU(330) for analyzing RGB data of the color information; an input unit(500) for applying a control signal to the control unit; and an output unit(400) controlled by the control signal output from the control unit.
Abstract:
In one scenario, a computer system wirelessly receives an image from a mobile device. The computer system identifies an available paint color closest to the color of the received image, and further identifies available paint colors that color coordinate with the paint color determined to correspond to the image. The computer system then displays to the user the paint color determined to correspond to the received image and the color coordinated paint colors, receives user input selecting the displayed colors, determines a tint formula corresponding to the selected color and produces a paint code corresponding to the selected color based on the tint formula.

The present disclosure is directed to a system for displaying and designing one or more colors on digital display devices, non-digital display media, or a combination thereof. The system can comprise one or more comparative colors, background colors, or a combination thereof for improved color visual comparison. The system can be used for comparing and selecting colors, such as for use in fashion color designs, automotive color designs, architecture color designs, appliance color designs, or a combination thereof. This disclosure is further directed to a kit and a method for displaying and producing one or more colors.
