Abstract:
A method for making a negative-working heat-sensitive lithographic printing plate precursor is provided which comprises the steps of (i) providing a support having a hydrophilic surface or which is provided with a hydrophilic layer, and (ii) applying on said support a coating which comprises a product DQ, wherein DQ is obtained by - the step of coating a solution or dispersion comprising a nucleophilic compound Q and a dye D selected from the list consisting of di- or tri-arylmethane dyes, cyanine dyes, styryl dyes and merostyryl dyes; or by - the step of coating a solution or dispersion comprising said compound Q and coating another solution or dispersion comprising said dye D; wherein D and Q interact to form interaction product DQ, having a white light optical density which is lower than the white light optical density of dye D, and wherein said interaction product DQ is capable of at least partially releasing a dye directly after exposure to infrared light or heat, thereby forming a visible image in said coating.

A system and a method for synchronizing printing of images on both sides of a web (20) in a double sided inkjet web printer, the method including (a) applying ink, by a first inkjet printhead (31) in a first inkjet printing device (1), on a first side of the web (20), for printing a first image; (b) applying ink, by a second inkjet printhead (32) in a second inkjet printing device (2), on a second side of the web (20) opposite to the first side, for printing a second image; (c) sensing a first position of the web (20) by a first position encoder; (d) sending an electronic printing position signal to the second inkjet printing device (2) by a sender (41), coupled to the first inkjet printing device (1); (e) receiving the electronic printing position signal by a receiver (42), coupled to the second inkjet printing device (2); and (f) controlling the second inkjet printing device (2) to print the second image synchronized to the first image, based on the sensing of the first position of the web (20) and on the electronic printing position signal.

A method of making a flexographic printing forme precursor for laser engraving comprising the steps of: (i) providing at least one layer of a curable composition on a substrate; (ii) curing said at least one layer;
characterized in that the curable composition forming an outermost layer of said precursor comprises at least 0.5 % by weight relative to the total weight of said composition forming the outermost layer of an organo-silicon compound, said organo-silicon compound comprising at least one polymerizable group.

An inkjet printing method comprising in order the steps of: a) providing to an inkjet printer at least two or more colourless liquids having a different composition and at least one colour inkjet ink; b) mixing said colour inkjet ink in a controlled amount with said two or more colourless liquids; and c) printing the ink-mixture of said colour inkjet ink and the two or more colourless liquids with the inkjet printer onto an ink-receiver.
Also disclosed are an inkjet printer and an inkjet ink set comprising at least two or more colourless liquids having a different composition and a colour inkjet ink.
