Abstract: 본 발명은 이동통신 시스템의 상향 링크 트래픽에 대한 자원 요청 및 패킷 스케줄링 방법 그리고 그 장치에 관한 것이다.
상향 링크 트래픽에 대한 효율적인 스케줄링을 위하여, 기지국과 단말은 트래픽의 특성에 따라 스케줄링을 수행한다. 특히 트래픽이 일정 시간 간격으로 가변 크기의 패킷을 발생하는 경우, 상기 트래픽은 일정 시간 간격으로 완전 가변 크기의 패킷을 발생하는 제1 트래픽과, 일정 시간 간격으로 유사 가변 크기의 패킷을 발생하는 제2 트래픽으로 분류된다. 그리고 제1 또는 제2 트래픽에 따라, 단말은 서로 다른 모드로 기지국에 자원을 요청하고, 기지국은 이러한 자원 요청에 따라 스케줄링을 수행한다.
따라서, 트래픽 특성을 반영한 방식으로 단말이 자원을 요청하고, 기지국도 상기 트래픽 특성에 따라 스케줄링을 수행함으로써, 최적의 상향 링크 스케줄링이 이루어진다.
