PURPOSE: A system and method for hierarchically inserting/detecting watermarks are provided to insert and detect different watermarks hierarchically. CONSTITUTION: A system for hierarchically inserting watermarks includes the first and second hierarchical watermark inserting units(220,230). The first and second hierarchical watermark inserting units. The first hierarchical watermark inserting unit receives data into which the watermarks is inserted and inserting the first hierarchical watermark into the data. The second hierarchical watermark inserting unit inserts the second hierarchical watermark independent of the first hierarchical watermark into the data into which the first hierarchical watermark has been inserted. The first hierarchical watermark inserting unit inserts an echo watermark into the overall input data. PURPOSE: An apparatus for inserting and detecting a watermark using a watermark signal from which a time directional area mean value is removed, and a method thereof are provided to reduce error rate and improve the reliability of a watermarking. CONSTITUTION: A divider(211) receives a reference watermark signal(202) for dividing the reference watermark signal to make sub-watermark signals. A time directional area mean value remover(212) receives the sub-watermark signals for removing a time directional area mean value of the sub-watermark signals. A collator(213) receives the sub-watermark signals from which the time directional area mean value is removed, for recollating the sub-watermark signals to make a watermark signal. PURPOSE: A multi-channel audio/voice/data coder-decoder(CODEC) device for a personal computer(PC) is provided to have input/output functions relating to an external multi-channel audio/voice and to have data input/output functions, to control a system by a system control software which exchanges various data with a fixed storage device of the PC to accumulate application programs through the fixed storage device, and which performs control data transmissions and audio/voice/multi media data transmissions, so as to carry out various multi media processing functions. CONSTITUTION: A system control software(10) accumulates execution programs of many application programs(20) in a multi-channel audio/voice/data signal processor(30), and performs multi-channel audio/voice/multi media data processing functions. The multi-channel audio/voice/data signal processor(30) accumulates various multi-channel audio/voice/multi media data processing programs by the application programs(20), and inputs multi-channel audio/voice/multi-media data from the application programs(20), then transmits result data to the application programs(20). The signal processor(30) inputs/outputs the multi-channel audio to an exterior, and inputs/outputs a compressed audio or data to the exterior. The connecting device for a personal automatic answering and voice mail system includes a subscriber line connecting circuit (1) provided with a voice signal from a subscriber line; a voice signal controlling unit (2) connected to the subscriber line connecting circuit (1) and a telephone set or to a microphone and a loud speaker to convert the voice signal; and an AT bus connecting circuit (3) receiving a digital voice signal from the voice signal controlling circuit (2) by an interrupt of the subscriber line connecting circuit (1)to transmit it to a personal computer where the personal automatic answering and voice mail system is embodied.

The system includes a displaying device (12) for displaying the telephone number of the other party. A B-channel control means (15) performs exchange functions for the B-channel, and assigns functions to B1 and B2 channels. A data link control means (17) sets and detects flags, inserts and deletes zeros, processes errors, and controls the priority of a D-channel. A system control means (18) performs overall controls for the telephone, and a plurality of interfacing means (13), (14), (16), (21), (22) are connected to proper positions. The system can be applied to the existing telephones at a relatively cheap cost.
