Abstract:
The invention relates to a compressed gas container (1) having a casing (2) that surrounds a storage volume, said casing comprising a matrix and reinforcing fibers (6, 6a, 6b). The compressed gas container according to the invention is characterized in that the composition of the matrix between the region of the casing (2) facing the storage volume and the region of the casing (2) facing the surroundings of the casing (2) changes at least once. The invention further relates to a method for producing a compressed gas container (1).
Abstract:
The present invention discloses apparatuses, systems, and methods for controlling liquid impact pressure in liquid impact systems. The liquid impact systems include at least one gas and a liquid, the gas having a density ( PG ) and a polytropic index (κ) and the liquid having a density ( PL ). The methods include the step of calculating a liquid impact load of the liquid on the object by determining a parameter Ψ for the system, wherein Ψ is defined as ( PG/PL )(κ-1)/κ. The systems are also configured to utilize the parameter Ψ. The parameter Ψ may be adjusted to increase or reduce the liquid impact load on the system. Automatic, computer-implemented systems and methods may be used or implemented. These methods and systems may be useful in applications such as LNG shipping and loading/off-loading, fuel tank operation, manufacturing processes, vehicles dynamics, and combustion processes, among others.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a bellows (5) for use in a fluid container (1) , wherein the fluid container (1) is arranged so as to contain a first fluid comprising a liquid phase (7') and a gas phase (7' ') , and wherein the bellows (5) is arranged so as to separate said first fluid (7', 7' ') from a second fluid (9) transported into the bellows (5) from the exterior of the container (1) . In a preferred embodiment, the bellows (5) , when filled, is arranged so as to occupy a volume portion of the second fluid (9) and, when emptied, is arranged so as to contain substantially no volume portion of said second fluid (9) . The invention also concerns a method related to transport and/or discharging of a container (1) , wherein the volume of said first fluid (7', I1') of the container (1) is replaced by a second fluid (9) filled into the bellows (5).

Abstract:
Abstract:
The invention can be used for the pressurised storage of gases. The aim of the invention is to provide a pressurised container consisting of fibre-reinforced plastic with flat or practically flat lids. To achieve this, wound axially aligned reinforcement structures run through the interior of the body and absorb the major part of the required forces on their plane of alignment. The invention is characterised in that fibre strands are distributed uniformly over the cross-sectional surface of the cylindrical pressurised container, are aligned axially and fixed to flat or practically flat lids. In one advantageous embodiment of the invention, a container is formed by the spiral winding of an essentially unidirectional fibre-layer, which is thicker at its edges. Reinforcement layers, which are arranged in a circumferential direction and exert a radial action, cover the reinforcement strands or the spirally wound unidirectional fibre-layer, said layers forming the casing of the pressurised container.

Abstract:
A novel inflation system for inflatable life jackets, comprising a gas reservoir of transparent plastic which stores liquid gas at a low pressure and which is connected to a casing which is transparent in full or in part and in which the opening mechanism for the gas reservoir is integrated and which has a profile for being attached to a receiving part connected to the inflatable life jacket and having an opening to the inner space of the life jacket, thus inflating the life jacket to the usage size by means of the spontaneous volume expansion for the liquid gas through both openings when the gas flows through a large outlet opening in the casing part, characterized in that the gas reservoir is surrounded by a casing such that the outer surface of said gas reservoir tightly abuts the inner surface of the casing.
