Abstract: PURPOSE: A belt buckle is provided not only to shorten a length of the buckle but also to lighten a weight thereof so that a manufacturing cost is reduced, and the locking state is easily released without using a separate locking release structure. CONSTITUTION: The belt buckle includes an outer plate(1), and an inner plate(3), and a pair of side plates(2) connected at right angle with the outer plate with both sides thereof opened. An engaging protrusion(5) is projected from an extension(4) extending from an outer end of the inner plate. A belt fixture(6) for fixing one end of a belt(B) is movably installed inside the side plate. A belt access space(7) is provided to the inner plate so that the other end of the belt passes therethrough toward inside of the belt fixture. The belt buckle has advantages in a cost reduction, a simple release structure, and a convenient treatment.
