Abstract:
The present invention relates to machines and apparatuses for manufacturing and filling containers, specifically to machines and apparatus for transporting flexible pouches between manufacturing and filling stations with the ability to open and close the flexible pouch. The apparatus includes a movable base with a pair of side arms. Each of the side arms is movable between a first position and a second position. A center arm is attached to the base. The center arm is disposed between the pair of side arms. A gripping mechanism is disposed at an end portion of each of the side arms and the center arm. The pouches are moved between production stations by movement of the base. The present disclosure also includes a method for opening, closing, and moving a flexible pouch between one or more production stations.
Abstract:
A method for moving a stackable cargo unit (199) such as a bag (199) from a first location to a second location comprises the use of a device (140) having a head (250) comprising a first section and a second section, the first section and the second section hingedly connected and each section provided with needles for penetrating the stackable cargo unit (199). The needle is capable of moving along a trajectory so as to penetrate the stackable cargo unit (199). Then the stackable cargo unit (199) can be moved and subsequently released by moving the needle in the reverse direction. The invention also relates to a device (140) suitable for performing the method and an apparatus (100) comprising said device (140).
Abstract:
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for distributing articles made by series production is configured to deliver articles (16) to selected storage positions in side-by-side rows (A,B) of adjacent storage positions for stacked articles (16) in a storage compartment (15). After selection of a storage position, a transport platform (25) movably mounted on a horizontally movable carriage (24) above the rows is driven to a location above the selected storage position with the platform moved between two possible positions for dispensing articles into the respective rows, an article conveyor (38) on the platform is actuated to transport the article off the platform into the underlying storage position, where it is stacked on top of any previously stacked articles, and the platform is driven back to a start position to receive the next article. The procedure is repeated to distribute subsequent articles to selected storage positions in the storage area.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method areprovided for conveying bags containing a product, for example bags of crisps or other snack food. The apparatus comprises an elongate flexible tube, for example of a fabric-based material, along which air is caused to flow. The bags are introduced into the flexible tube at a first location so that they are carried along bythe air flow from the first location to a second location, where they are removed from the air flow.
Abstract:
A device for gripping a flexible container, such as a bag filled with fluid, comprising a chamber that is open on one side with a peripheral wall that encloses the open side, a container support that extends in the peripheral direction inside the peripheral wall, as well as an orifice for connecting a vacuum source to the chamber, wherein the chamber can be placed with the open side against the container, such that a vacuum can be generated between the chamber and the container for bringing the container in to contact around the container support transversely to the peripheral direction. The orifice is outside the container support and extends in the peripheral direction.
Abstract:
A device for packing filled bags in outers comprises means (1, 3) for placing the bags in a row in such a way that they overlap each other, a suction box (8) with suction cups (13, 14) for retaining filled bags, which suction box can be moved between a pick-up position above the means for forming a row and a delivery positon above an outer or device for feeding in an outer, and means (4, 6) for pushing a formed row of bags up against the suction cups of the suction box. The suction box (8) has one or more rows of suction cups (13) having mouths placed relatively high up and one or more rows of suction cups having mouths placed relatively low down. In a first pick-up position of the suction box, the suction cups having mouths placed high up are positioned directly above the means for forming a row of bags, and in a second pick-up position of the suction box, the suction cups having mouths placed relatively low down are situated directly above the means for forming a row of bags.
Abstract:
A processing system includes a conveyance system including: a conveyance body unit having a conveyance surface; a movable body moving along the conveyance surface; and a conveyance control unit controlling a magnetism acting between the movable body and the conveyance body unit, wherein the movable body moves along the conveyance surface in a floating state where the movable body is separated from the conveyance surface due to the magnetism, wherein the conveyance control unit controls the magnetism to variably adjust one or more of a movement trajectory, a rotation state, a movement speed, a movement time and a posture of the movable body.
Abstract:
A method and system for fulfilling customer orders having a data base that is adapted to store a plurality of customer orders and identity of warehouse inventory items and return inventory items that make up each of the customer orders. Some of the orders are single item orders with only one inventory item assigned to that order. Some of the orders are multiple item orders with multiple inventory items assigned to that order. Returned items that are processed and determined to be acceptable to be re-distributed are re-introduced into the inventory data base and are available to be assigned to an order. Warehouse inventory and return inventory are maintained independent of each other to reduce redundant operations. The order fulfilment system retrieves items from either or both of the warehouse inventory and return inventory to fulfil customer orders. The order fulfilment system may utilizes human associates or robot associates.
Abstract:
A system automatically loads a bin with a filled deformable container such as a sack of produce being conveyed along horizontal rollers. A movable support structure has a coupling end attachable to a robotic arm, and a lifting end supporting a plurality of parallel rods. By means of the robotic arm and a programmable logic controller, the plurality of parallel rods can be positioned between and parallel to the horizontal rollers, raised when the container is conveyed to a loading position above the parallel rods, moved to a predetermined position above the bin, and rotated to allow the container to slide downward along the parallel rods and into the bin under force of gravity. The loading sequence can be repeated a number of times, changing the predetermined position each time to stack a plurality of the containers in a desired configuration such as overlapping rows of offset sacks.
