Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for verifying the functions of a fax in a WLL(Wireless Local Loop) terminal is provided to simply carry out message formatting and to sufficiently verify the function without system support by connecting a local fax and a remote fax in accordance with IS-707A.7 standards in an end-to-end method using a fax emulator. CONSTITUTION: If a user inputs a fax test mode approach code "##6941*" after an off-hook at a telephone or a local fax attached to a WLL terminal(S101), the WLL terminal judges whether the fax test mode approach code has been inputted(S103). If the fax test mode approach code has been inputted, the WLL terminal disconnects an air interface(S107) and allocates a serial port to a fax processing unit(S108). If the on-hook is not detected within 10 seconds, the WLL terminal approaches a fax processing unit hardware test mode(S115). However, in case that the on-hook is detected within 10 seconds, the WLL terminal approaches an IS-707A.7 fax call emulation mode, initializes the fax processing unit, and waits for the next event(S113).

Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for transmitting and receiving facsimile using a mobile terminal is provided to receive mass document during movement by transmitting and receiving facsimile data or the mass document through the mobile terminal. CONSTITUTION: A sender inserts a transmitting facsimile paper into a general facsimile device(1s) and calls a telephone number connected to a server(2s). If an inputted password is correct, the server transmits the stored facsimile image to the mobile terminal of the recipient and the printer prints the transmitted facsimile data(15s).
