Abstract:
Electro-acoustic device, which installed in flat-top panels, partitions or facings existing in the market, be they of mineral fibre, plasterboard, plywood, etc., transforms them into planar and invisible radiators of high fidelity sound and spherical dispersion. Through its particular property of being equalisable for each type of panel by means of an electronic equaliser and by having the necessary means to avoid any resonance.
Abstract:
A mounting system for loudspeakers composed of a multiple frame which retain 2 or 4 loudspeakers and a set of single frames which host one loudspeaker such that loudspeakers of standard manufacturing size and type can be mounted to the ceiling of a listening space.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a bracket for mounting a speaker that allows a speaker to be easily mounted and removed without impairing the acoustic characteristics of the speaker used for a specific use such as car audio equipment, and that can reduce the possibility of the speaker being damaged during mounting or removal. The bracket of the present invention includes a base plate; and a plurality of hooks that are provided on one face of the base plate and can engage with a part of an edge of a speaker frame in cooperation with a mounting member from the back of the speaker.
Abstract:
A speaker support frame structure (10) and optional cover (49) for recessed mounting of a speaker (12) in a wall or the like. The frame structure (10) incorporates a one-piece, unitary molded frame body (15) which has an open central region (18), a flattened perimeter region (24) adjacent thereto, an adjacent peripheral upstanding shoulder region (26), and a terminal outwardly turned collar region (27). A speaker (12) is nestably received thereon. Leg members (37) are associated with screw means (36) that extend through orifice means (34) formed with the frame body (15). The leg member (37) pivotally outswing and engage wall surfaces with adjustable clamping force. The frame body (15) can be further provided with a frontal first ridge means (53) and also with a cover plate (54) which has rear second ridge means (55) so that the first (53) and second ridge means (55) can engage mutually in a connecting relationship.
Abstract:
A ceiling-mounted loudspeaker (10) includes upper and lower sound-directing structures (12,14) having walls (22,24) acting as a radial horn (26) to provide a wide included angle of coverage for sound energy generated by a loudspeaker driver assembly (40) having a piston (30) for directing generated sound energy upwardly into the horn. The lower structure (14) further has a continuously convex bottom (80) configured and dimensioned to define a diffraction path for at least some of the sound energy exiting the outlet mouth (26b) of the radial horn, so that the convex bottom acts as a downwardly-directed diffractor. The radial horn (26) and the convex bottom (80) together produce an oblate spheroid of sound energy affording a substantially uniform amplitude of sound within a large finite horizontal plane at the level of a listener.

Abstract:
The present invention provides for a surface acoustic transducer optimally structured to produce sound within an aircraft cabin by vibrating the interior cabin walls. Specifically, the surface acoustic transducer comprises a primary assembly comprising a voice coil assembly having a voice coil former and wire, and a transducer housing for retaining said primary assembly and a magnet therein such in movable relations. The present surface acoustic transducer may further include a spider structured to provide an improved excursion. An external housing may additionally be provided comprising a rigid retaining wall for protecting the surface acoustic transducer from potential externally applied forces and a malleable excursion cover allowing for an excursion of the primary assembly thereof.
Abstract:
[Object] To provide electric light bulb type light source apparatuses capable of ensuring high receiver sensitivity and achieving downsizing without sacrificing light distribution characteristics for lighting. [Solving Means] An electric light bulb type light source apparatus includes a light source unit with void area; a casing, with a conductive outer case and a translucent cover opposed thereto, which houses the light source unit; a circuit substrate, with at least an antenna mounted for receiving radio signals from outside the casing, housed in the casing; and a base, disposed on a side of the conductive outer case opposite to the translucent cover, for supplying power to the light source unit. The conductive outer case forms first area in the casing; the translucent cover forms second area opposed thereto. The circuit substrate penetrates through the void area so that the antenna is in the second area.
Abstract:
An improved manually operated flip dog mountable ceiling speaker enclosure, for ceiling or other panel installation, has a biased sliding ratchet block that can be latched in place by an extension from a T-handle of an integral actuator rod. The ratchet block is controlled in its sliding motion by alignment rods extending from a vertical portion of a base and slidingly received in alignment bores of the ratchet block. A face of the ratchet block has downward pointing ratchet teeth that engage upward pointing ratchet teeth on a barrel of a flip dog to hold the flip dog in a clamped position. Over time, the biasing springs may lose their strength, but the latching of the ratchet block obviates this problem.
