Abstract: An electrostatic discharge protection device includes a voltage divider, a resistor, a capacitor, a first primary transistor, a second primary transistor, a first control circuit, and a second control circuit. The voltage divider is coupled between a first system terminal and a second system terminal for providing a voltage. The resistor is coupled to the first system terminal, and the capacitor is coupled to the resistor. The first primary transistor and the second primary transistor are coupled in series between the first system terminal and the second system terminal. The first control circuit turns on the first primary transistor when an electrostatic discharge event occurs according to voltages provided by the voltage divider and the resistor. The second control circuit turns on the second primary transistor when the electrostatic discharge event occurs according to voltages provided by the voltage divider and the first control circuit.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for detecting motion of an object in an environment, the method including transmitting a first wireless signal related to a transmission signal and receiving a second wireless signal related to an incoming signal, wherein the second wireless signal is a reflected first wireless signal from the object, obtaining a modulation signal related to a combination of the transmission and incoming signals, wherein the modulation signal contains a Doppler shift caused by the motion of the object, extracting a signal envelope varied by the Doppler shift from the modulation signal, and determining whether motion of the object is detected in accordance with the signal envelope.

Abstract: A mixer module includes a mixer, at least one DC offset circuit, a filter and a controller. The mixer mixes an input signal to generate a first signal. The at least one DC offset circuit generates a second signal based on the first signal. The filter filters out an AC portion of the second signal and generates a third signal according to a DC portion of the second signal. The controller controls the at least one DC offset circuit based on the third signal to reduce a DC portion of the first signal.

Abstract: An amplifier including a signal input terminal, at least one signal output terminal, a first and a second cascode amplifier circuits, a capacitor and a loading circuit. The first input terminal coupled to the signal input terminal receives the input signal. The second cascode amplifier circuit includes a third and a fourth input terminals and a third output terminal. The third input terminal is coupled to the first output terminal, and the third output terminal is coupled to the second input terminal. Two terminals of the capacitor are coupled to the fourth input terminal and the first output terminal respectively. A terminal of the loading circuit is coupled to the third output terminal, and another terminal of the loading circuit is coupled to the second output terminal. At least one of two terminals of the loading circuit is further coupled to the at least one signal output terminal.

Abstract: A power detector has a signal input terminal, N limiting amplifiers, N rectifiers and a signal output terminal. N is an integer greater than 1. The signal input terminal receives an input signal, and the signal output terminal outputs a detection signal. The N limiting amplifiers generate N amplified signals according to N attenuated signals having different attenuation. Each limiting amplifier receives one of the N attenuated signals and outputs one of the N amplified signals. Each rectifier receives a corresponding amplified signal and outputs a rectified signal. The detection signal is associated with the sum of N rectified signals outputted from the N rectifiers, and all transistors of the power detector are bipolar junction transistors.

Abstract: A location detection system includes a first directional radar sensor, a second directional radar sensor and a controller. The second directional radar sensor has a second facing direction and a second radio coverage correspondingly, the second radio coverage being partially overlapping with the first radio coverage, and is used to receive a second response signal upon detecting the object. The controller is used to determine which region the object is located in according to receptions of the first response signal and the second response signal.

Abstract: A voltage generator includes an oscillator, a charge pump, a smoothing capacitor, and a driving controller. The oscillator has an output. The charge pump has an input and an output, and the input of the charge pump is coupled to the output of the oscillator. The smoothing capacitor is coupled to the output of the charge pump. The driving controller is coupled to the oscillator, and generates an enable signal to adjust an operation frequency of the oscillator. The voltage generator supplies a driving voltage to a switch for driving the switch via the smoothing capacitor. The driving controller generates the enable signal according to the driving voltage.

Abstract: A subsampling motion detector used to detect motion information of an object under measurement receives a first wireless radio frequency (RF) signal and transmits a second wireless RF signal, the first wireless RF signal being generated by reflecting the second wireless RF signal from the object. The subsampling motion detector has a high frequency oscillator for outputting a high frequency oscillation signal, a low frequency controllable oscillator for generating a low frequency oscillation signal according to a control signal, and a subsampling analog-to-digital converter (SSADC). The SSADC detects a phase difference between the high frequency oscillation signal and the low frequency oscillation signal at time periods indicated by the low frequency oscillation signal. The SSADC outputs a phase detection digital output signal according to the detected phase difference. The control signal is generated and the motion information of the object is calculated according to the phase detection digital output signal.
