Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain excellent steering stability, ride comfort and durability and to attain lightness in weight, in a pneumatic radial tire using a steel cord 1 as a belt ply.SOLUTION: Two to six main filaments 2 having the same diameter are arranged side by side to form a single layer without twisting them and one non-shaped lapping filament 3 having a diameter smaller than that of the main filament 2 is wound around the main filaments. Each of the main filaments 2 has a diameter (D) of 0.15-0.30 mm, and a specified composition in which a carbon (C) content is 0.95-1.20 mass% or the like, and tensile strength TS (Mpa) satisfying following formula (I): -2000×D+4400≤TS (Mpa)≤-2000×D+5400.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire for reinforcing a rubber article, on being especially applied to a tire, capable of making the tire further have a light weight, without causing faults such as wire crease, etc., and also without damaging various performances of the tire such as driving stability, etc., and the rubber article by using the same. SOLUTION: This reinforcing wire 1 for the rubber article has a track-shaped flat cross section consisting of a pair of parallel linear parts 11, and a pair of opposing circular arc parts 12 projecting to outside, where the thickness of the wire is T (mm), and the radius of curvature of the circle is R (mm), the relationship expressed by the following formulae (1) and (2) are satisfied, and the wire is imparted with a wave patterning at least in one direction of the wire thickness direction or the width direction. 0.15≤T≤0.30 (1), 0.6354×T≤R≤0.77×T+0.019 (2). PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic radial tire for improving maneuvering stability, comfortableness, and durability in a well-balanced state while reducing weight. SOLUTION: In this pneumatic radial tire, belt ply for forming a belt 2 wound on a crown part of a carcass 1 of a radial structure is formed by putting covering rubber 10 on a wire layer 9 formed by arranging a longitudinal wave wire 7 having an oval cross section, and patterned in a waveform bending in the minor axis direction, and a transverse wave wire 8 patterned in a waveform bending in the major axis direction. Abstract:
A hybrid rope constructed of a plurality of strands, wherein each strand is constructed of a fiber center, a jacket surrounding the fiber center, and a plurality of wires surrounding the jacket. The fiber center can be constructed of one or more high-strength synthetic fibers or yarns. The jacket can be constructed of polypropylene, thermoplastic polyurethane, high-density polyethylene, linear low-density polyethylene, nylon or other similar materials. The jacket can have a braided or woven design and adds a protective layer between the fiber center and the wires. The wires can be constructed of high-strength steel wires, galvanized steel or stainless steel. The fibers or yarns that make of the fiber center are twisted to lay right and then covered with the jacket. The wires then surround the jacket and are twisted to lay to the left. This creates a torque-balanced condition of the hybrid rope.

The invention relates to a method for producing an assembly (A) of filiform elements (14) wound together in a spiral, comprising: a step of twisting at least first and second filiform elements (14), the first and second filiform elements (14) being twisted separately from one another; a step of preforming at least the first and second twisted filiform elements (14) in a spiral, the first and second twisted filiform elements (14) being preformed separately from one another; and a step of assembling at least the first and second twisted and preformed filiform elements (14) in order to form the assembly (A) of filiform elements (14).
Abstract:
The invention is directed to materials comprising polylactic acid (PLA). In accordance with the invention, PLA material is stretched in at least the machine direction at a total stretch ratio of 1:4 or more. These materials have excellent biodegradability and find use in horticulture, in particular for tying up plants or parts thereof.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a multilayered material sheet comprising a consolidated stack of unidirectional monolayers of drawn polymer. The draw direction of two subsequent monolayers in the stack differs. Moreover the strength to thickness ratio of at least one monolayer is larger than 4.5.10 13 N/m 3 . The invention also relates to a ballistic resistant article comprising the multilayered material sheet and to a process for the preparation of the ballistic resistant article.
