Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a steel cord for rubber articles, capable of adjusting the flatness of the steel cord cross-section over a wide range and sufficiently correcting the straightness of the steel cord and to provide a flattening apparatus for the production. SOLUTION: A flat roller group 24X consisting of three flat rollers 24A is placed at the inlet side P of a steel cord 10 to apply repeated bending to the steel cord 10 and flatten the cross-section of the steel cord 10, and a fluted roller group 24Y consisting of six fluted rollers 24B is placed at the outlet side Q after the flattening stage to correct the straightness of the flattened steel cord 10 and make possible separate adjustment of the biting ratio of the flat roller 24A and the biting ratio of the fluted roller 24B. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel cord which is used for reinforcing rubber products, can reduce production cost, has good rubber material invasiveness, is little extended with low loads, and has a two-layered structure. SOLUTION: The method for producing the steel cord 10 comprises forming spiral curls on all core strands 11, pressing the product to form smaller pitch approximately sine wave-like curls than pitches for twisting in an approximately sine wave-like shape, simultaneously twisting the core strands 11 with side strands 12 to form a bundle-twisted two-layered structure, and then pressing the product in the direction crossing the longitudinal direction of the cord. Thus, in the cord 10, the core strands 11 contact with each other at any places in the longitudinal direction of the cord, and are discontinuously arranged in the longitudinal direction of the cord to partially contact in approximate parallel. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire rope capable of being suitably used as a main rope for hanging a riding cage used in a machine-roomless elevator. SOLUTION: This wire rope 1 is equipped with a rope core strand 4 formed by together twining two or more metallic element wires 4A, a rope core covering layer 3 made of a resin for covering the rope core strand 4, and two or more outer layer strands 2 for twining around the rope core covering layer 3, wherein the outer layer strands 2 are each formed by together twining two or more metallic element wires 2A in such a manner as to prevent concave parts from forming on a circumferential surface of the outer layer strand 2 itself, the rope core strand 4 has a cross-sectional area set to be 10-15% of a total cross-sectional area of two or more of the outer layer strands 2, and the rope core covering layer 3 is formed so that an interval G between the outer layer strands 2 adjacent to each other is set to be 1/35 to 1/40 of a size D of a distance between outermost circumferential surfaces of the outer layer strands 2 facing each other. Abstract:
The invention relates to a hybrid rope comprising a core element, a first and a second metallic closed layer surrounding said core element. The core element includes a bundle or construction of synthetic yarns. The first metallic closed layer includes a plurality of first wirelike members helically twisted together with the core element in a first direction. The second metallic closed layer includes a plurality of second wirelike members helically twisted together with said core element and said first metallic closed layer in a second direction. The cross-sectional area of the core element is larger than the total cross-sectional area of the first and second metallic closed layers.
Abstract:
An elevator rope has a core rope, a plurality of outer layer strands, and a resin outer layer coating body. The core rope includes: a single steel core strand; a resin core strand coating body that is coated onto an outer circumference of the core strand; a core rope strand assembly that is constituted by a plurality of steel core rope strands that are disposed on an outer circumference of the core strand coating body; and a resin core rope coating body that is disposed on an outer circumference of the core rope strand assembly. A resin outer layer coating body is fixed adhesively to the outer layer strands. The core strand and the core rope strands have a three-layer construction in which two layers of wires are bound onto an outer circumference of a central wire. The outer layer strands have a two-layer construction in which a single layer of wires is bound onto an outer circumference of a central wire.
