Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multilayer optical recording medium which meets the specifications of a reflection factor required for recording and reproducing digital data, based on CD, DVD standards. SOLUTION: At least a first transparent substrate 12, an HD layer 11, a second transparent substrate 22 and a CD layer 21 are sequentially laminated and in the HD layer 11, one or more semi-transparent films 31 each having a reflection property for a wavelength of a first reproduction signal and a transmission property for a wavelength of a second reproducing signal and of which a refraction factor is higher than that of the first transparent substrate 12, are formed. In the CD layer 21, a metal film having reflection properties for the wavelength of the second reproduction signal is formed; and further, when the wavelength of the second reproduction signal is defined as λ, and the refraction factor of the first transparent substrate is defined as (n), for the total film thickness of the semi-transparent film 31, α×m×λ×n (where 1.0≤α≤1.3, and (m) is an integer of 1 or larger) is established. Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the intensity of fluorescence emitted from a fluorescent labelling agent to detect fluorescence with high precision.
SOLUTION: In a DNA analyzer 11, a discoidal DNA chip substrate 1 is irradiated with exciting light condensed by an object lens 31 while rotated and the presence of the fluorescence emitted from the fluorescent labelling agent corresponding to the exciting light is detected to observe the mutual reaction state of a probe substance and a sample substance. The fluorescent labelling agent to be used is obtained by bonding a quantum dot phosphor to an intercalator.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electron beam irradiation device and its method preventing drop in vacuum in the mounting/demounting of an irradiation object without enlarging a rotating table by arranging an exhaust block at the end of an electron optics lens barrel in the electron beam irradiation device with the rotating table. SOLUTION: This electron beam irradiation device is equipped with the rotating table 31, the electron optics lens barrel 1 irradiating electron beams to the irradiation object 36 on the rotating table; the exhaust block 11 exhausting air in a gap between the electron optics lens barrel and the irradiation object, moving mechanisms 38, 39 moving the irradiation object between a working position facing the electron optics lens barrel and the mounting/ demounting position where the irradiation object is apart from the electron optics lens barrel; and cover members 51, 61 adhering closely to the rotating table or the irradiation object in order to prevent drop in vacuum when the rotating table is moved from the working position to the mounting/demounting position.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder and a reproducer capable of efficiently controlling data in block unit. SOLUTION: A recordable recording track is provided on which the information having periodic information is preliminarily recorded by periodically displacing the track center line in the direction of the track width with respect to the virtual track center line, and displacement parts formed in the direction of the track width from the side edge part of this recording track for every specified space are provided along the track direction of the recording track, and by scanning the track with an optical pickup 31 with respect to an optical disk 21 on which the control information detectable separately from the periodic information by these displacement parts is preliminarily recorded, the periodic information and the control information are separated from the detected detection signal by a band-pass filter 51 and a high-pass filter 52. Then the recorded data are controlled in a block unit on the basis of the period information and the control information by a recording processing means and recorded on the track.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To embody an optical recording medium having a large allowance degree to skew and thickness errors and to make the optical recording medium and its drive assembly inexpensive and easily usable. SOLUTION: A recording layer 2 is formed on a protective layer 1 and a transparent protective layer 3 is formed there, by which the flexible optical recording medium is constituted. Recording and reproducing are executed by irradiating the recording layer 2 with light form the transparent protective layer 3 side. When the permissible inclination angle of this optical recording medium is defined as Θ( deg.) and the thickness of the transparent protective layer 3 as t(μm), "kuchi"(Japanese:kanji,387D).t

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize the peculiar functions of an optical disk device and to secure the storage capacity, in which operability that is comparable to a video tape recorder is obtained, by recording the desired user data by irradiating the laser beams having a wavelength less than a specific value by the optical system having the working distance less than a specific value and the numerical aperture more than a specific value. SOLUTION: Each focal distance and each interval are set so that the numerical aperture of an objective lens 17, which consists of a first lens 17A and a second lens 17B, becomes more than 0.7. An optical head secures an approximately 8 GB storage capacity by irradiating an optical disk 12 with the laser beams having the wavelength of less than 680 mm through the optical system having the numerical aperture of more than 0.7. At that time, a working distance WD is set to less than 560 μm and the mass-production of the heads are made possible. Thus, the video recording time and the operability comparable to a video tape recorder are obtained and the editing, which effectively uses the random access function of the optical disk device, is made possible.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the optical disk in which the rigidity is maintained even though a use is made of a single plate, that is made thinner, a magneto-optical recording is also conducted and a conventional rotating means is also facilitated. SOLUTION: A holding section 21, in which one main surface 21a is mounted on a rotating means and used as a mounting surface, is formed in an inner peripheral side and an information recording section 22, in which one main surface 22a is set as an information recording surface, is formed in an outer peripheral side. The mounting surface and the information recording surface are not formed in a single surface. The section 21 is made thicker than the section 22. It is fine to form a groove section 25 between sections 21 and 22. It is also fine to form a projecting section 27 in the outer peripheral side of a main surface 22b. Moreover, more than one kind of functional films are formed on the surface 22b which is located on the opposite side of the information recording surface.
