    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily manufacture an optical disk of a large capacity wherein recording and/or reproduction of information is performed by irradiating information signal parts with a laser beam from a side of a light transmission layer having a thin and uniform thickness. SOLUTION: A substrate formed with the information signal parts is prepared and after adhesive layers are formed on the information signal parts of this substrate by applying an adhesive or tacky adhesive thereon at an approximately uniform film thickness, a transparent plastic film is press-bonded onto the adhesive layers while the film is kept tense. The transparent plastic film previously formed with the adhesive layers by applying the adhesive or tacky adhesive at an approximately uniform film thickness may be press-bonded to the information signal parts of the substrate thereon while the transparent plastic film is kept tense. The base previously formed with the adhesive layers by applying the adhesive or tacky adhesive at the approximately uniform film thickness may be press-bonded to the information signal parts of the substrate thereon while the base is kept tense and thereafter the base is peeled and removed from the adhesive layers and the remaining adhesive layers are used as light transparent layers.     Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately laminate a substrate and an optical transmission member and at the same time uniformly maintain the gap between them. SOLUTION: An optical disk 1 is provided with a signal-recording region 8 where a recording layer 4 is formed on a main surface, a non-signal recording region 9 where no recording layer 4 is formed at the inner-periphery side of the signal-recording region 8, and a chucking region 10 with a central hole 2 as a center at further inner-periphery side. On a substrate 3, a first level difference part 11 where the non-signal recording region 9 is allowed to project from the signal-recording region 9, and a second level difference part 12 where the chucking region 10 is allowed to project from the non-signal recording region 9, are formed. As a result, the substrate 3 is formed so that the non- signal recording region 9 is thicker than the signal-recording region 8, and the chucking region 10 is thicker than the non-signal recording region 9. A sheet 6 that becomes a light-transmission layer 7 is laminated onto the first level difference part 11 via an adhesive layer 5, namely onto a surface where the non-signal recording region 9 is formed. The adhesive layer 5 is formed between the signal-recording region 8 of the substrate 3 and a sheet 6.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the deformation of a substrate and the occurrence of resin sink during an injection molding by employing the two step injection in which the translucent resin, that is equivalent to the amount of cooling contraction, is further injected after optically transmissive resin is injected and kept under a pressure. SOLUTION: In a first injection process, a screw 40s is rotated and moved to send melted and optically transmissive resin into a cavity 20 of a metallic mold 23 and the screw 40s is stopped at a beforehand set position. After applying a pressure, the screw 40s is again rotated and moved within 0.5 to 1.5 seconds so that the resin is not hardened and residual resin is injected into the cavity 20 so as to avoid the occurrence of the sink of the middle thickness section of the substrate caused by the cooling and the contraction. After cooling the resin, which is completely hardened in the cavity 20, the substrate is removed from the device 23. Note that the adjustment of the amount of the injection of the melted optically transmissive resin in the first injection process is also accomplished by detecting the pressure in a cylinder 30 and controlling the position of the screw 40s.

SOLUTION: A holding section 21, in which one main surface 21a is mounted on a rotating means and used as a mounting surface, is formed in an inner peripheral side and an information recording section 22, in which one main surface 22a is set as an information recording surface, is formed in an outer peripheral side. The mounting surface and the information recording surface are not formed in a single surface. The section 21 is made thicker than the section 22. It is fine to form a groove section 25 between sections 21 and 22. It is also fine to form a projecting section 27 in the outer peripheral side of a main surface 22b. Moreover, more than one kind of functional films are formed on the surface 22b which is located on the opposite side of the information recording surface.

The flash 60 of the stamper 8 intrudes into a light transparent resin when the first and second substrates are manufactured by injection molding using the stamper 8. If the first substrate is manufactured in such a manner, a recessed part 91 is formed at the substrate 1. The spacing between the substrates 1 and 2 is made uniform and the occurrence of deflection in the substrates is effectively prevented in the case the optical recording medium of a lamination type is formed by interposing a photosetting resin between the substrate 1 formed with the recessed part 91 and the substrate 2.
