The invention relates to a waste comminuting device comprising a comminuting housing (1), a rotor (2) provided with a plurality of protruding peripheral knives, stationary counterblades supported by the comminuting housing, the minimal distance between each knife of each associated counterblade during the passage of said knife opposite the said counterblade, being equal to an operating gap called cut size. For each knife (3, 4, 5, 6) and for at least a rotation direction of the rotor, at least two non-aligned counterblades (7 and 11, 8 and 12, 9 and 13, 10 and 14) associated with the knife are adapted so that the distance between the cutting edge (45) of the knife and the cutting edge (48, 56) of a counterblade at the moment when the cutting edge of the said knife is opposite to the cutting edge of the said counterblade, is different from a counterblade (7-10) to another (11-14).

A self clearing cutting assembly is provided, having an array of counter rotating cutters in which a plurality of cutters rotating in a first direction is mounted on a first shaft and a plurality of second cutters is mounted on a second shaft for rotating in an opposite direction. The array of cutters is provided with a plurality of clearing or cleaning rings located alternately with the cutters on each shaft. The cutting array is kept clear of debris or partially cut material by movement of the clearing or cutting rings against adjacent cutters. Movement of the clearing or cleaning rings is a combination of rotary motion and linear motion, in which the linear motion is imparted by the cutter located opposite the cleaning ring striking the cleaning rings so as to push the cleaning ring beyond the position of the widest part of the cutter to completely dislodge material from the cutter.

Es wird eine mobile Vorrichtung zur Behandlung bei der Produktion von Reifen, insbesondere der Produktion von Autoreifen, anfallenden, nicht vulkanisierten Abfällen, wie beispielsweise Cordabschnitten, grünen Reifen, etc., beschrieben; diese weist a) wenigstens einen Shredder, der der kalten und/oder warmen Vorzerkleinerung der Abfallprodukte dient, b) wenigstens einen Kühler, der der Unterkühlung des Shredder-Gutes dient, c) wenigstens eine Kaltmahlanlage, die dem Aufschluss und der Trennung des Shredder-Gutes dient, und d) wenigstens eine Sieb- und Sichteranlage, die wenigstens zur Trennung der Komponenten Stahl, Cord und Kautschuk ausgebildet ist, auf. Erfindungsgemäß sind die vorgenannten Komponenten so dimensioniert, dass sie auf einem Lkw, einem Lkw- und/oder einem Bahnanhänger, vorzugsweise in einem Standard-Container, -Rahmen und/oder -Gestell, transportierbar sind.

A machine (1) is serving the purpose of comminution for example domestic garbage, refrigerators, tires, furniture, carpets, mattresses, stubs, demolition timber and similar materials. The machine has a funnel (2) for accommodating the waste, a cutting table (4) placed at the bottom of the funnel with at least one set of fixed, parallel lower knives (9a, b) which mutually are separated by openings (10a, b) through the table, at least one rotatable axle (5a, b) of a drive unit (7) which axle is placed above the cutting table into a direction, which extends perpendicular to the lower knives, and a number of disc-shaped upper knives (8a, b) fixed to the axle, each of which knives is provided with a number of teeth (13a, b) and partly extends down into each their opening of the table. The lower knives are running into a direction, which intersects the axis (18) of the axle or an area around this. Thereby it is obtained that the teeth of the upper knives will have angle of action of about 90 DEG , and the stress of forces, which they exercise, will have no substantial components into the radial direction of the upper knives and along the lower knives. The advantage of this construction is that the machine is able to securely, in a fast way and efficiently carry out a process of comminution by optimum utilizing the supplied energy, and with the given dimensions the machine has furthermore a larger capacity than known hitherto.

A device for cutting action upon objects comprises cutting means (2) having cutting edges (1) and being rotary-arranged, which is characterized in that the cutting means (2) comprise a number of discs arranged side by side being provided with a substantially circular periphery and having cutting edges for said action. The invention also relates to the use of this device for cutting action upon sacks, string bags, bags and cardboard boxes for opening thereof and releasing of the contents therein as well as for cutting action upon piece-like, sticky material.

Es sind Zerkleinerungsscheiben (13a) mit einer feinen Riffelung (18) und Zerkleinerungsscheiben (14a) mit einer groben Riffelung (17) vorgesehen, wobei die mit der feinen Riffelung (18) versehenen Zerkleinerungsscheiben (13a) einen geringeren Durchmesser als die mit der groben Riffelung (17) versehenen Zerkleinerungsscheiben (14a) aufweisen.

A shredder (2) for shredding a variety of different materials is described which includes a fixed framework provided with a cutting assembly (20) having at least two counter-rotating cutting arrays (22, 24) each comprising a plurality of cutters (46) and a movable framework provided with a tensioning arrangement (100) for applying the same tension to each of the cutting arrays (22, 24) to shred material fed to the cutting arrays (22, 24) by a telescopically sided chute (10) having a tapering mouth (14) and a throat (16). The movable framework is movable with respect to the fixed framework in accordance with operation of an adjustment means (102) to alter the tension applied to the cutting arrays (22, 24) in order to apply constant tension to the cutting elements (46) to compensate for wear of the cutting elements (46) during use of the shredder.
