    Abstract: A method for removing nitrate nitrogen from wastewater and sewage is provided to improve the efficiency in electro-chemical reduction of the nitrate nitrogen, by performing electrolysis using a lead brass plate as a cathode. Sulfamic acids are continuously inputted into a mixing tank(10), where raw water is received, by interlocking a nitrate sensor(11) and a first pump(12) with each other. The raw water containing the sulfamic acids is inputted into a pH adjusting tank(20). Acids are automatically inputted into the pH adjusting tank by interlocking a pH sensor(21) and a second pump(22) with each other. The raw water containing the acids is transferred to an electrolyzing tank(30) in a natural flowing type or by a pump. The electrolyzing tank(30) contains inflow flange, discharging flange, drain, a brass plate and a non-soluble electrode. The raw water is denitrified and discharged, through electrolysis using a lead brass plate and a reactor for inducing up-flow and down-flow of water.
