Abstract:
A spindle and worm drive for adjusting devices, especially seat adjustment devices, window lifters and sliding roofs, in motor vehicles. The drive includes a fixed spindle or relatively fixed toothed rack which is secured to one of relatively two moving parts and gear elements mounted in a housing which includes at least two plates that can be secured to each other by plug-in connectors. The connectors are also configured as supporting joints that absorb the forces of the gear.
Abstract:
A door closer includes a closer casing, a pivot unit, and a length-variable damping cylinder. The pivot unit includes a pivot axle, a cam member, and a cam follower member. The pivot axle has a drive end portion that extends into and that is retained rotatably in the closer casing, and a coupling end portion that extends out of the closer casing. The cam member is mounted co-rotatably on the drive end portion of the pivot axle. The cam follower member is disposed in the closer casing, and is acted upon by the cam member. The damping cylinder is disposed in the closer casing, and has one end coupled to the cam follower member and an opposite end anchored to the closer casing.
Abstract:
A window regulator cable tensioner includes a screw and nut assembly having an irreversible thread lead angle, a first spring to absorb reversible slack in the cable, and a second spring to actuate the screw and nut assembly. The stiffness of the first spring is greater than the stiffness of the second spring. The cable tensioner absorbs reversible slack in the cable differently from irreversible slack in the cable.
Abstract:
A opening and closing device 10 for sunroofs of an automobile, which has a pair of rails 17a and 17b, a lid 13 for opening and closing an opening 12, right and left cables 26 engaged to a lid 14 and arranged along the rails 17a and 17b, and a drive mechanism 36 for driving the cables in a reciprocating manner. The cables 26 construct a closed loop arrangement with bypassing the opening 12 of the loof of the automobile. One of the cable 26 coming out of the drive mechanism 36 is arranged to the right-side rails 17b, bridged to the left side lail 17b, reversed at the base end of the left side lail 17a and returned along the same route to the drive mechanism 36.
Abstract:
A pulley cradle arrangement for a screen doors, in particular, having a pulley cradle receptacle (23) that is inserted from above into a hollow frame section (1) and is clamped there. The pulley cradle receptacle (23) holds the pulley cradle support (25), inside of which the pulley cradle (27) and its running rollers (28) can be shifted vertically by a knurled screw (89). All parts can be pushed together without the use of tools and snap together by means of elastic holders. The pulley cradle (27) can be removed from the pulley cradle support (25) by pushing on its front surface and thus the sliding door can be removed from the guide rails.

Abstract:
A power door for a transit vehicle includes a door panel, a base and hanger unit, a door support, a drive member and a motor. The door support is attached to the door panel and includes at least one roller which engages a hanger portion of the base and hanger unit for motion along the base and hanger unit. The hanger portion includes a longitudinal cavity and a slot communicating with the cavity. The drive member is disposed within the cavity and a drive member connector passes through the slot to connect the drive member to the door support.
Abstract:
Apparatus for adjusting a frameless window pane moved by a cable window lifter in an automobile. The apparatus includes a first guide rail which has an unlocked and a locked state, and a second guide rail. The first guide rail is freely movable to a limited degree in the unlocked state and fixed in the locked state. A window pane is connected between the first guide rail and the second guide rail such that movement of the second guide rail causes the first guide rail to move when in its unlocked state. A bolt is provided for moving the second guide rail and for locking the first guide rail.
Abstract:
A window adjustment apparatus is provided for use with an automotive vehicle type of window assembly of the type having an elongate guide channel defining a longitudinal axis and which mounts a window for reciprocal motion relative to a vehicle body panel such as a vehicle door, and a pivot arrangement which mounts the guide channel for pivotal movement generally about one end thereof and within the vehicle body panel in which the guide channel is located. The window adjustment apparatus includes a housing and an adjustment member having a channel-coupling portion or coupling thereof to the guide channel at a location thereon generally remotely located from the end about which the guide channel is mounted for pivotal motion. A driven member is mounted to the adjustment member and a drive member is rotatably mounted to the housing, and is of complementary form with the driven member for engaging the same for causing bidirectional movement of the adjustment member relative to the housing to achieve this bidirectional movement of the guide-channel in response to bidirectional rotation of the drive member. An engageable member is accessible for engagement and bidirectional rotation from exteriorly of the body panel, such that bidirectional rotation of the engageable member achieves a predetermined and corresponding amount of bidirectional, pivotal motion of the guide channel.
Abstract:
The track for the panel of a sliding door or window confines a locating device with two resilient leaves which have first end portions secured to the bottom part of the track and second end portions normally extending upwardly into the path of movement of the rim of a wheel at the underside of the panel. The second end portions of the leaves are disposed between the first end portions and define a gap wherein the lowermost portion of the rim comes to rest after the rim has been caused to roll over one of the leaves and to be arrested by the upwardly extending second end portion of the other leaf. If the panel is to be shifted to a different position, it is pushed with a force which suffices to enable the rim of the wheel to depress the second end portion of one of the leaves whereupon the rim rolls over the one leaf toward a different position. A foot can be clamped to the track to positively prevent the panel from moving beyond a selected position.
