Abstract:
A drive transmission has a rotary drive input member that is inclined with respect to its axis of rotation and that is driven by a motor. A first gear is mounted on the drive input member and engages with a rotatable second gear and a fixed third gear. Rotation of the drive input member causes the first gear to rock while the second gear provides a rotary drive output for the drive transmission.
Abstract:
The present application discloses an axial operator that is configured for use with a door assembly. The axial operator comprises a rotatable operator output member that rotates about an operator axis, the operator output member being constructed and arranged to be operatively connected within the door assembly such that the operator output axis extends generally vertically. An electric motor has a rotatable motor output member that rotates about the operator axis. The motor is constructed and arranged to selectively rotate the motor output member about the operator axis. A reduction transmission is connected between the motor output member and the operator output member. The reduction transmission is constructed and arranged such that the transmission rotates the operator output member at a lower rotational speed than a rotational speed at which the motor rotates the motor output member and applies a higher torque to the operator output member than a torque which the motor applies to the motor output member. The reduction transmission comprises (a) an orbit gear, (b) a planet gear carrier, and (c) a planet gear. The motor is adapted to be communicated to a controller so as to receive a door moving signal therefrom and being further adapted to selectively rotate the motor output member in response to receiving the door moving signal to thereby rotate the operator output member so as to move the door panel with respect to the doorway as aforesaid.
Abstract:
An apparatus for winding a spring on a shaft, such as for counterbalancing a roll-up door, includes a housing that carries a transmission which is positionable over the shaft. The transmission is configured to be coupled via a connector to one end of the spring, while the other end of the spring is fixed to the shaft. Rotation of the transmission results in a turning of the connector and a winding and/or elongation of the spring.
Abstract:
A window lifting and lowering apparatus that includes an arm pivotally moved to lift and lower a window of a vehicle. A cycloidal speed reducing mechanism is used for transmitting a rotational force of a drive shaft to the arm at a reduced speed. The cycloidal speed reducing mechanism includes a ring gear disposed in a fixed state, a planetary gear eccentrically rotated in a state of being brought into mesh with the ring gear by the rotational force of the drive shaft, a rotating disk for transmitting rotation of the planetary gear to the arm, and a stopper gear fixed to the ring gear for restricting a pivotal movement position of the planetary gear. In accordance with the eccentric pivotal movement of the planetary gear, a stopper pin provided on the planetary gear is made to impinge with a stopper projection provided on the stopper gear.
Abstract:
The present application discloses a retrofit power door assembly for installation on a manual door assembly. One aspect of the application related to a retrofit power door assembly having an axial operator. Another aspect of the application relates to a retrofit power door assembly having a clutch with a manually engageable release member.
Abstract:
A linear actuator comprises an electric motor and a screw-and-nut transmission device in which the nut member comprises a planet-carrier member driven in rotation about the axis of the screw, and at least one planet mounted so that it is free to turn on the planet-carrier member about an axis that is parallel to and set at a distance from the axis of the screw. The planet has a plurality of collars set in planes perpendicular to the axis of the screw which engage respective portions of the bottom of the thread of the screw, in such a way that, as a result of the rotation of the planet-carrier member, the planet rolls around the screw forcing the latter to translate axially due to the engagement of each collar against the sides of the respective portion of the thread of the screw.
Abstract:
A motor actuator has a position detector provided with a pulse plate made of resin and a sliding contact. The pulse plate has a first conductive unit and a second conductive unit. The sliding contact has an input contact and an output contact. The first conductive unit makes contact with the input contact and the second conductive unit makes contact with the output contact so that a pulse signal is obtained by rotation of the pulse plate. A plurality of slit portions are formed on the first conductive unit by exposing the resin material of the pulse plate so that grease is collected in a boundary portion of each of the slit portions due to a difference in thickness between the slit portions and a conductive portion of the first conductive unit. Therefore, even if the pulse plate continuously rotates and the first conductive unit and the input contact continuously make contact with each other, grease does not run out therebetween, thereby restricting the first conductive unit and the input contact from fusing at a high temperature. Thus, the motor actuator can maintain its original position detection performance.
