    Abstract: An article transport vehicle that travels along a traveling path is provided with an obstacle sensor that detects an obstacle that exists in a detection area, and a control unit that controls the traveling speed of the article transport vehicle based on detection information of the obstacle sensor. A non-detection area where detection of the obstacle by the obstacle sensor is not performed is set within the detectable area of the obstacle sensor, and a situation in which the non-detection area exists on a detection line that joins a part of the detection area and the obstacle sensor is defined as a specific situation. The control unit, in the specific situation, and a situation where an undetectable area in which it is not possible to detect the obstacle exists in the detection area because a shield exists in the non-detection area, reduces the speed of the article transport vehicle to a second traveling speed slower than the first traveling speed.

    Abstract: A transport vehicle includes a body including a first wheel and a second wheel, a first drive device that drives the first wheel, a second drive device that drives the second wheel, and a control device, the control device controlling the first drive device and the second drive device in such a manner that a torque ratio of a wheel with increased load, which is a ratio of a torque transmitted to the wheel with increased load to a sum of a first wheel torque and a second wheel torque, is higher while the body is accelerating and decelerating than while the body is traveling at constant velocity, where the wheel with increased load is one of the first wheel and the second wheel that is subjected to an increase in vertical downward load that increases in response to acceleration or deceleration of the body.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a rail transit signal system with multi-network integration, including: a wayside train control subsystem for simultaneously supporting mixed tracking operation of a China train control system (CTCS)-based national railway train and a communication based train control (CBTC)-based urban rail transit train; a compatible carbome subsystem for realizing cross-line operation of a national railway line network, an intercity railway network, a municipal railway network, and an urban rail transit network; a networked intelligent dispatching subsystem for realizing intelligent dispatching management of rail transit line networks and cooperation of line network operation plans between different rail transit line networks; an interlocking subsystem being respectively communicatively connected to and interacting with the wayside train control subsystem, the compatible carbome subsystem, and the networked intelligent dispatching subsystem; and a wireless train-ground communication subsystem for simultaneously providing communication for the national railway train and the urban rail transit train. Compared to the prior art, the present disclosure has the advantages of interconnection and interworking, deep integration, etc.

    Abstract: A control system and method identify a first vehicle system that is traveling from a first location toward a different, second location, and a second vehicle system for combining with the first vehicle system into a convoy of vehicle systems. The system and method also direct the first and second vehicle systems to couple with each other for travel as the convoy. The system and method direct one or more of the second vehicle system of the convoy to separate from the convoy and/or a third vehicle system that is outside of the convoy to join the convoy by coupling with one or more of the first vehicle system or the second vehicle system in the convoy in at least one intermediate location between the first location and the second location.

    Abstract: A system that can automatically control the emissions of each locomotive in a consist to reduce overall train emissions. An emissions module determines the amount of emissions emitted by a train. An emissions control module commands the locomotive, via the train control system, to operate in a predetermined state to achieve a particular amount of emissions. A location module can track the location of the locomotive of the train relative geographic locations having emission regulations so that the emissions control module can command appropriate changes in the locomotive to reduce emissions.

In order to provide a generic rail vehicle in which a high level of safety can be achieved with little outlay on wiring, the vehicle unit includes a guide system interface device having a first interface unit associated with the data bus structure, at least one second interface unit associated with the line set, and a control unit which, in at least one operating mode, is provided for handling the processes through the second interface unit.
